President Trump has announced the winners of his Fake News Awards

We cover multiple arrays of topics for one simple reason. The world is interconnected, and it is not only financial factors that drive the markets. Geopolitics is another major driving force behind the markets. Crowd Psychology dictates that if you focus on the tree, you will forget that the tree is part of a forest and in doing so you will miss the bigger picture. For example, George Soros is behind the surge in fake stories, the massive Anti-Trump riots and the funding of plethora of revolutions that seek to change the existing regime.  Having the ability to cross analyse multiple factors with an open mind provides you with a much clearer picture of what to expect from the financial markets. On that note, we think you might find the following story of interest:

No one can claim to have mastered the markets fully and anyone that does lay claim to such a title should be avoided like the plague.   For example, after QE all the rules changed and many time-tested indicators simply ceased to work because the operating environment had changed forever. The markets were suddenly hit with a force that they had never been hit with before.  A fed that was determined to destroy any shred of free market forces left in the market.  This surprised everyone, and it even caught us off guard initially.  Many so-called experts refuse to accept that they made a mistake or could be wrong. Bull Markets Vs Bear Markets & Arrogance

Donald Trump has announced the winners of his self-proclaimed “Fake News” awards, with The New York Times topping the list.

But shortly after the US president tweeted a link to a website run by the Republican National Committee, his party’s political arm, it returned an error message, having apparently crashed.

When it later returned, it revealed that Mr Trump has singled out New York Times columnist Paul Krugman for claiming Mr Trump’s presidency would inflict severe damage to the US economy, which has in fact rallied under his leadership.
General Flynn meanwhile, has pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about meetings with Russia’s ambassador weeks before Donald Trump became president. The charges were brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, as part of his inquiry into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 US election. Read more

There was no red carpet, but President Donald Trump tweeted a link to his “highly anticipated” fake news award winners Wednesday night, as promised.

The link itself — to the official Republican National Committee website — turned out to be a bit of a fake out. “The site is temporarily offline, we are working to bring it back up. Please try back later,” the link read for many for at least an hour after the announcement.

But eventually, the website rebounded, revealing the “winners” (or “losers”).

“2017 was a year of unrelenting bias, unfair news coverage, and even downright fake news,” the introduction read. “Studies have shown that over 90% of the media’s coverage of President Trump is negative.” Read more

Donald Trump, who has routinely peddled conspiracy theories and mistruths from the office of the presidency, sought to question the accuracy of the media on Wednesday by unveiling the so-called “Fake News Awards”.

The president used his preferred medium of Twitter to announce “the winners”, which ranged from minor errors by journalists on social media to news reports that later invited corrections, with the New York Times and CNN the most frequently named.

Much of the list centred around reporting on the investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election. The president has repeatedly dismissed the inquiry as “fake news”, despite the consensus of the US government and its allies that Moscow worked to sway the presidential election in Trump’s favor.

Shortly after making the awards public, Trump offered mild praise for a faction of the media, tweeting: “Despite some very corrupt and dishonest media coverage, there are many great reporters I respect and lots of GOOD NEWS for the American people to be proud of!” Read more
