Schwarzenegger Adviser Arrested

Daniel Pellisier, a former advisor to ex-Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, was among the four alleged “johns” apprehended by the Citrus Heights Police Department in Citrus Heights, California, as part of a statewide crackdown on human trafficking.

Pellisier, 57, was arrested during Operation Reclaim and Rebuild, a three-day operation led by the Los Angeles County Regional Human Trafficking Task Force. This extensive operation resulted in over 500 arrests, including 30 suspected traffickers and 178 alleged buyers, commonly referred to as “johns.”

With a background as the deputy secretary for energy and environment, where he provided guidance to Schwarzenegger and supervised California’s Natural Resources and Environmental Protection agencies, Pellisier later assumed the role of president in an advocacy group called California Pension Reform, as mentioned in his biography on UC Berkeley’s Institute of Government Studies.

The police stated that their focus during the operation was to identify, apprehend, and bring to justice both the “pimps” involved in coordinating the exploitation of victims and the “johns” seeking to exploit them. They also highlighted their commitment to combat human trafficking, emphasizing that the city and community of Citrus Heights condemn such criminal activities and remain dedicated to detecting, deterring, and holding accountable those involved in prostitution and victimizing others.
