Trump Urges Lawmakers to Make Deal on Immigration Reform

Immigration Reform:  Trump pushes For Deal

In a tweet on Tuesday, President Trump pushed for a resolution to the issue of immigration reform, specifically highlighting the need to protect young immigrants brought illegally to the US as children. He noted that both Republicans and Democrats are eager to negotiate a deal, and emphasized that this may be the last chance to solve the DACA puzzle, referring to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

Last year, Trump terminated DACA, temporarily protecting young immigrants from deportation, and gave Congress until March 5 to enact legislation addressing their legal status. Read more
