Trump Will Resign Soon
We may not be able to fix the damage that Trump has already caused, but at least we can stop him from doing any more harm. Public figures ought to be calling on the president to resign from office, to get out of the way and let competent people step in.
In his public statements over the last few weeks, Trump has demonstrated that he is simply incapable of taking on the challenge before him. On Feb. 29, Trump confidently predicted that the number of infected people in the U.S. would “within a couple of days [be] going to be down to close to zero.”
One observer described Trump as “a walking, talking, tweeting disaster when it comes to the communications strategy required during a complex crisis like this one.” Last Friday, when Trump spoke to reporters at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, the president incorrectly declared that “anybody … that needs a test gets a test.” That is plainly untrue, as Vice President Mike Pence had conceded a day earlier.
During the Friday press briefing, Trump bragged to the press about his supposed scientific expertise, suggesting that he has “a natural ability” to understand the issues associated with coronavirus. One reporter who witnessed the briefing said that “the president’s statements to the press were terrifying.” Full story
Trump Will Resign Soon Based On The Mooch’s Opinion
“I don’t think he’s going to be removed by the Senate. I think he’s going to resign from office by March of next year.”
“I predict that there will be a waterfall of information that will come out over the next three to six weeks,” Scaramucci told FOX Business’ Gerry Baker on WSJ at Large.
“There are 193 nations in the United Nations. The president’s been president for almost three years. Do you think he had one phone call like that or do you think that there are many phone calls like that that have been stuffed into that secret super-secret server?” he said. “ I know the guy’s personality. I’m willing to bet a large amount of money that there isn’t just one phone call like that.”
“The straw for me was basically the four Congresswomen — where he was saying to people that they needed to go back to the country they originally came from,” Scaramucci said referring to representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashaida Tlaib. “Well, three of them were born here, one of which was naturalized here, all four democratically elected into our Congress.”
