My friends on the left are mortified that America elected a president they consider to be a dishonest, narcissistic, philandering, racist homophobe. And they hope that by educating voters who are not as smart as they are of Trump’s character flaws, the electorate will self-correct.

Good luck! The last election was not about Donald Trump; it was a referendum on liberal ideology. To win in the future, liberals need to understand how they could lose to someone they find so detestable.

Despite all his shortcomings and scandal, only one Republican president in 50 years has had a higher approval rating than Trump among members of his party after 500 days. The explanation for Trump’s resilience is his success in disrupting liberal ideals.

A recent Pew Research Center survey found that 45 per cent of Republicans see Democrats as a threat to our nation’s future, and nearly six in ten have a very unfavorable opinion of Democrats. Despite their disdain for Trump, Democrats do not feel as strongly about the opposing party. Full Story
