eyestrain

Fellow sub langdj emailed me with some great suggestions as well; the following is an excerpt:

langdj:

Could not find the eye strain post again to do a follow up. Anyway here is what helped me

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CB ... UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LB ... UTF8&psc=1

I eat a mostly red meat-based diet (doubt you do :-) Anyway like all diets they all have their weaknesses. so I miss out on Omega3s even with all the butter and eggs I eat. The issue is that Red Meat is so satisfying that I don't crave any other meats (common for Carnivore type diets). Supplements did not do the trick. I eat fish like once / twice a week now. Got this information from this lady

https://nutritionwithjudy.com/

Also, I got a much bigger, better monitor!

Lastly, I look at far away objects for at least 15 minutes twice a day

Anyway all three of those got me out of the woods, took about three months. Not sure if I need to do more or if this will work for you.

moi:

Good to hear from you. Hope things are good for your family and yourself during these nutty times.

Yeh, I use eye drops as well. Also use an eye cover mask at night (mostly to help sleep better), but the one you posted a link to has additional features - definitely going to order it and give it a try.

I try to look into the distance too several times a day, but have not been disciplined with this practice like you have - 15 minutes twice a day sounds like a lot, but I will try this as well (probably combine it with one of my Breathwork practices).

I almost always have my monitor on max. "night" settings, i.e. mostly red light, little blue, except when I am trying to figure out Sol's charts, lol.

Diets: actually, I love red meat. But I also love fruits, rice, pasta, junk foods, alcohol, etc. I probably eat "clean" 60 -70%, at best. The evidence around the Carnivore diet is fairly convincing, and I plan to try it at some point; from what I remember, Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan have all experienced good results from this diet.

5. Part of the reason I am not super-motivated to try any extreme diets at the moment is that I have found that over the years, intermittent fasting combined with eating "reasonably" 60 to 70% of the time achieves most of my health goals. Then it's just a matter of getting decent sleep and exercising. I love to exercise and train so the fitness aspect of health comes fairly easily to me.

Thanks for the links, it's "very useful data," as Sol would say, lol. I'll post an excerpt of what you sent me on the forum - I am assuming you won't mind.

""In an interview with Bloomberg News posted on their website Sept. 14, David Cates, CEO and president of Denison Mines, said "discretionary supplies" in the uranium market were so thin that market participants had approached the company and pressured it to sell part of its 2.5 million lb uranium stockpile. Cates said Denison Mines did not intend to sell its holdings, which are intended for use as capital to finance mining projects.

"[Sprott] isn't going to sell uranium. This is what they do with all their commodities, hold them. The only difference is, uranium is a much smaller market. They're going to take all the cheap material off the market and sequester it for a very long time," Paul Goranson, CEO of uranium development company enCore Energy, said in a Sept. 10 interview. "Assuming this is sustainable, it will incentivize production."

.............

The producers, the juniors, they do like Sprott, they pile uranium for future investment, and also to let the price rising and make their business more profitable.

Sprott becomes the boss of the uranium sector. When he says U308 will cost 60$/lbs in the near future, we can trust him. Next year, he will say U308 will cost 100$/lbs....

You think Sprott is that powerful? I only have superficial knowledge of the uranium sector, but my current understanding is that once uranium hits >$50 - $60, more producers will become profitable and ramp up production.

Like most commodities, the cure for higher prices is . . . higher prices. $100/lb. for U308 seems a bit high for 2022.

If you think that Sprott doesnt have the capacity to corner the uranium market, look at page 14......

Even more interesting that the life span of existing reactors is commonly extended, i.e. those 50 new reactor will be added to the pack instead of just substituting old ones.

Hmmm, very interesting data, thanks. The other links you posted were good, too. The uranium/nuclear sector is in a primary degree bull trend, but the question for me is when to add to my core holdings. It's hard to establish an accumulation price range when the asset in question goes a bit parabolic.

For those new to the uranium sector, the following 21-minute clip isn't bad as an introduction:

The current US power mix is:

~60% fossil fuels: 25% coal and 35% nat gas.
~20% nuclear
~20% Renewables: 7.3% Hydro, 8.4% wind, 2.3% solar and 1.4% biomass.

Renewables aren't going to be enough, and kind of suck at the moment. Nuclear looks very strong with room to grow, barring a Dark Swan accident.

Hey Sol, I've been trying to improve my vision a bit and got those "pinhole" glasses you mentioned. Mine aren't Russian (got them off Amazon), but so far, the results have been fairly remarkable. My wife has been using them too, and also noticed a positive difference. Can't believe something so simple and cheap works so well.

Wanted to ask you about EMF blockers - got a few of those that you plug into the wall socket; they are supposed to "disperse" the EMF radiation a bit; sounds a bit scammy tbh but figure it wouldn't hurt either way. Also, is there anything to the shungite story? It's some sort of mineral, originally from Russia, that may have protective effects. The New Age crystal crowd seems to like it, but hard to find evidence that it works or not. I also got one of those EMF detectors, but unsure how valid the measurements are.

@nicolas, @stefk:

I added a little bit to my core HODL uranium holdings today: bought a little CCJ & URNM. Will add considerably more if/when URNM drops below <75.

Are you guys waiting for more downside to uranium before buying more?
