Hi all,
As I get closer to retirement I'm thinking about investing in ETF's with good records of income. I just want to balance my portfolio between income and growth stocks.
I've been eyeing up: SPYD, SCHD and VYM.
I am from the UK so can't always buy the ETF's but are there any you would recommend?
Thanks.

I held some SPHY before rate cuts. I've also looked into JEPI and SEIX for higher yields. As always, it depends on your risk tolerance.

JEPI is also pretty good for those looking for yields. Best time to buy is when the market pulls back.

Another strategic ETF I have watched (never owned) for a decade is HNDL.
They are best purchased on a major selloff. The strategy can be found online but they attempt to distribute 7% annualy, using a hybrid method of income and growth.

Thanks - HNDL looks like it's made up of lots of other ETF's. That makes me think fairly stable - i.e. no big up/down swings.
I'll take a look.

Re: Dividend ETF's
During it's entire history it has moved quite a bit. Goal is stable monthly dividends not necessarily a stable price. I think it began trading at $25 and has traded as low as $15+/-.
I like securities with longer history so I have watched it for some time. Along with YYY and QYLD, and a few others.
Creating a group of non-correlated ETFs and CEFs is a strategy I will pursue in the future, especially when the big drop hits and I want more stability. As these are dependant on stock returns, they appear to behave like the underlying investment, aka, they are not bonds or cash equivalents.
