Concise Interim Market Report

Post by SOL »

At last, we are witnessing what could be termed as genuine positive developments. Before delving into the upcoming update's raw excerpts, let us take a moment to examine both the past and the present.

What underlying theme emerged during previous market crashes or severe corrections?
One central theme, the masses were always scared, and the fear levels always soared to the moon.

What distinguishes today from previous comparable occurrences?

Fear levels never soared.

Another strange development: For the past 18 months, and now entering the 19th month, bullish sentiment has consistently remained below its historical average of 39.

Furthermore, in 2022, despite stocks having a challenging year, bearish sentiment never even reached the 55 mark. It should have significantly surpassed 60 and remained at elevated levels for an extended period.

Now for the intriguing bullish development.

The positive news is that the overall number of stocks trading above their 200-day moving average (200MA) has successfully broken through its one-year downtrend line. This breakthrough confirms, with a probability of over 80%, that indices will diverge. Some indices, such as the NDX, will likely peak and experience a pullback, while others, like the Russell 2000, will diverge (higher lows). Strength is expected to emerge from small to midcaps. Moreover, the Russell 2000 is likely to take the lead in the next upward leg.

On the short-term timelines, the Russell is already showing signs of strength.

Any update on Palladium, looks to me like a blow off bottom....sounds rude!

There is no fear in the market hence why SOL is just observing and being patient.

I suspect once the FED pivots to stopping the rate hikes then the market will accelerate. However in order for the FED and the market to do this, they must screw up majority of market participants

If everyone is thinking the market will turn around then the market will do the opposite or what you least expect, range bound action

We should all wish to see Extreme market fear. We need to see headless chicken syndrome. We should all dance to that since that’s our signal to buy and laugh at the brainless

It always is until it's not. Individuals live in the Tick Tock area. The concept of patience is gone. It's all zero to hero, go big or go home, and 6 months is now considered long term

Wall Street economists are increasingly less worried about a 2023 recession

Wall Street and Main Street seem to be growing less anxious. Will the crowd continue to have their cake and eat it without consequences?

That's what I'm doing, just wondered if there was any further insights into the sell off or just plain old market psychology in action!

It resembles the sell off in the big techs which were seemingly in free fall only to now be double or triple their lows.

Part of the price drop may be attributed to Russia. Whenever there are issues involving Russia, there tends to be a negative impact initially, followed by a subsequent rebalancing. Russia after all is the largest producer. However, the demand for palladium continues to rise. The global palladium market was valued at USD 16.5 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach USD 24.0 billion.

I am following the price of platinum. Here, its difficult for the moment, to buy palladium ingots, the premium for platine is cheaper than for palladium. If the price of platinum falls to 2700 euros/100gr, i am a buyer.

Investing in platinoid metals is a bet in the hydrogen economy. The fuel cells need platinum, the hydrogen detectors and sensors need platinum.

For me here in Belgium, its impossible to buy the US etf PALL. But I would like to renew my profitable experience

with palladium I did some years ago. I bought palladium lingots at 200$ and sold it at more or less 2000$, I also

bought SWC(stillwater) and PAL(north american palladium)and made very good benefits. These two mines were

incorporated with SIBANYE(SBSW) and IMPALA PLATINUM(IMPUY). And the charts of SBSW and IMPUY are exactly the

same charts as PALL. I think it could be a good alternative for me, to buy these two miners to benefit from the next

palladium bull run.

If Sol says palladium is a screaming buy, you can trust him......

Stefk: We have PALL through a US broker but you should be able to buy this similar one in Europe:

WisdomTree Physical Palladium
ISIN JE00B1VS3002

Ticker PHPD on Euronext.
