Ai and crypto

Post by AstuteShift »

Given the insanity of the AI craze, even though it’s just the beginning, it’s best to examine steroids(crypto) with rocket fuel (AI)

Given bitcoin dumped pretty hard, there are some names with AI in them, alt coins that have potential in the next scam bubble

Personally, I think wallstreet is very in bed with crypto and is safer than investing in China, in terms of risk to reward.

Obviously with alt coins, treat with like options. Never go above a certain x percent of what you’re comfortable with

Some Names I’m considering besides GBTC

SOL coin, cheaper fees than eth, implemented AI in its blockchain. Went from 240 bucks to 20 bucks, bottom end of the price range

RNDR token, uses AI for rendering and has partnerships with NVDA. Can be a nice proxy. However given the recent price surge I would wait for a pull back

These two alt coins have a higher probability of price appreciation once the dollar tops and the AI super bubble begins

a rough way to gauge current sentiment against each other (a.i. vs. crypto); think we're still in crypto winter, with perhaps spring on the way ... ?late '23 or '24 ...

-although gbtc has considerable upside asymmetry due to its selling at a discount (from what i remember) to btc spot, i trade bito since it's optionable for Wheeling and currently paying a 7.43% dividend; makes up for the slippage from its using futures contracts;

-going to let my cdn eth spot etf get called away - although optionable, it's quite illiquid; will add to COIN position from those proceeds; COIN is quite optionable and liquid for Wheeling, and has acted as a pretty good proxy for the crypto sector as whole, on balance; also have a miner (HIVE) as a long-term hodl position, which has been able to survive a few btc cycles to date;

-not gonna mess around with the other alt. coins, lol ...

Alt coins are like options but the upside potential is extreme.

The coin called RNDR, I wouldn’t buy it now but I’m waiting for it to hit 80 cents or below. The rule is to never buy at top end of ranges.
However the AI craze is just beginning so it’s key to jump on names early and wait

Given how most of gen z and millennials are poor, they will likely pile on to cheaper names. However, it’s always a IF

Thanks.

Can you say a bit more about RNDR?

I'm too lazy to open an account with a crypto exchange - which saved me a bit as I almost invested with Celsius years ago - but my spouse has an account with a small Canadian crypto exchange.

Let's see, re/ RNDR, thus far:

-A.I. rendering, connected to NVDA, start thinking about accumulating < 80 cents.

That’s pretty much it. Fundamentals for alt coins is a joke however at least this one is not a scam one per say. The founder also did 3d rendering for the likes of Walt Disney so he knows what he is doing.

However, the price needs to go the bottom end of the range, one more dump should suffice

Alt coins should be treated like options, or penny stocks with extreme leverage. Never bet the full house on these little guys

Yep, we'll do our due diligence with RNDR. Good asymmetry with these assets. Bet a small amount.

To a certain extent, alt. coins remind me of small-cap biotech stocks - I used to trade them a bit many, many years ago.

This was more or less what I did:

-buy a small lot on a huge dip;

-wait for 100% gain, sell half, and let the rest run; if it goes up another 100%, sell the rest;

-a lot didn't go up, so I applied a time stop - give it about 12 months, and if it didn't do anything, just sell the bugger; same time stop to those that did go up 100%, except the clock starts after the first sale;

-i did the above for awhile, and basically broke even overall, so decided it wasn't really worth playing with the small-cap biotech space anymore, especially since i was only trading part-time at that time;

-these days, i prefer ibb or labu ... :lol: ... and selling covered calls on them ...

Voltage helps solve three problems. First, it helps enterprises handle money transfers over the Lightning Network. Second, by using the interoperable Lightning Network standard, businesses can reach a global audience of customers. Finally, Voltage enables microtransactions, which have not been successful with traditional payment methods. Micropayments can be used to improve retention, decrease customer acquisition costs, and increase the lifetime value of customers.

By leveraging Google Cloud’s global network, Voltage can satisfy user needs faster, and the following benefits:

Capability to serve a global audience across different regions, with initial operations in Iowa, Netherlands, and Singapore.

Deployments on a leading cloud with superior availability and networking.

The ability to effortlessly run a Bitcoin infrastructure close to existing workloads.

Google Cloud is leading the way in supporting cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. It has shown a dedication to this new technology and is helping bring it to a global audience, while also being a leader in cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes that Voltage can leverage to easily scale its platform. By using Google Cloud, Voltage can satisfy the complex requirements that enterprise adoption requires.

Also vaguely remember, from awhile back, Alphabet is in some sort of collaboration with COIN. And more recently, Apple working with Goldman on fintech stuff.

Bit of a nascent trend developing ... Tech. Titans teaming up with banks, blockchain tech/companies, etc.

RNDR could collapse to penny stock level ranges. SOL alt coin dipping to the 10-15 ranges would be awesome.

All this fear and doom from the SEC is just that, these court cases can go on for years while the crypto market potentially rips higher.

Remember, never bet the full house. Even a small position in these alt coins can lead to massive wins while risking little

Yep, RNDR is available on my wife's Canadian crypto exchange - once it's below $1 (the x-change uses Cdn $ values), I'll be looking to take a small position.

Yesterday's COIN(less) bloodbath was interesting - it opened really down, then made a bit of a recovery by the close.

Perhaps more importantly, btc opened down, but then reversed and "closed" up pretty strong - bullish news divergence of sorts.

Looks like we are getting gifts in this sector lol. Won’t be long now when it reaches the objectives for RNDR. SOL is in the super high risk territory.
