DIA Jan 2022 $305 Calls hit trigger

Post by Triplethought »

Last newsletter said close DIA Jan 2022 305.000 call
If the Dow surges to the 30,100 to 30,600 ranges. Which it has now hit. So fine, I'll take the profits. But part of me is asking the question "but if we expect the Dow as a whole to let out steam shouldn't we consider taking profits on a few other positions at the same time?".
Current atmospheric levels of CO2 (400ppm) are much lower than 500 million years ago (3000-9000ppm).

Depends on your trading plan

I usually get out early before SOL recommends to get out or if the modified option play I usually do is close to expiring

Some plays I prefer to stay longer if the expiration is 2 to 3 years out on the option.

Either way anytime bullish sentiment is hitting 50s to 60s then it’s best to pull profits, bank it and wait for the market to gives us that opportunity. No markets ever go up on a straight line without pulling back

The stronger the rallies are the stronger the corrective phase will be as well

I had bought a few DIA Jan 2020 calls and have taken the advise of Sol to take profits at different points, which has relieved me from much stress. However, I have kept 1-last call open to see how high the market will trend...just for the fun now since my taken profits will be much higher than if I lose this last call.

I had purchased 4-DIA Calls last October and sold 3 in Dec-2020 for a 126% gain. (1st time buying options)
I have kept the last call open just to see how far it could go since Sol's trend indicator remains bullish. Right now this last call is close to 300% gain. The Market Trend Indicator is still bullish. Trying to decide to keep rolling or cash out with today's gains.
