The Evergrande situation

Hello everybody,

I was tempted to reply here (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=294), but figured it might deserve a thread of its own.

Given the (still controversial) noise about contagion risk with the Evergrande and China situation, I was wondering how this community is interpreting the most recent developments.

I wouldn't post this if it wasn't public information already, but a specific firm has been pretty proactive in its insolvency petition/eandeavors and it seems like bankruptcy might be on the horizon. (Source: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/ur ... 763418624/)

What are your thoughts on this matter? Do you think the way it plays out could potentially have global repercussions?
