Commodities

Post by bpcw »

This image is as of yesterday, a weekly cross over for commodities normally results in a swift correction, and you can make a good profit shorting, but you have to be nimble. Does anyone else trade commodities?

Apologies this is under stock plays but I couldn't create a forum, guess that's for admins only.

I invest in commodities via some junior mines. And this week, I sold out a lot of shares of my silver mine IVR

I do a little bit, if you consider metals/minerals "commodities," which I do - these generally include gold, silver, platinum, copper, nickel, and uranium proxies for me. Mostly I HODL a certain allocation of these in my portfolio, with occasional trimming of positions, or adding when cheap.

Because of the potential for a significant USD rally in the near future, I've kept my "Metals/Minerals" allocation on the low side.

The picture's a bit murky at the moment.

Thanks for replies, I have the equivalent of 5 lots shorting oil which is doing well, and shorting gas also doing well.

I consider energy, metals including PMs, grains etc as commodities!
