FSLY is NOT an official play. I traded it before it made it's mad run and decided to take another shot as it's got a double bottom on a high VBP shelf. Very possible to drop further so I invested less than 1/3 of a position. Will add on drops. I have high conviction so there's that.

The real question was how you handle your booze, the zodiac sign was just a random zero point question.Triplethought wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 2:07 pm
I'm a libra. Funny you would put any stock in that. I don't know how to quantify how I handle my alcohol but I will say I was buzzed last night when I wrote that. I tend to go week or 2 without booze and then one or 2 nights in a row enjoy a whole bottle of wine and wake up with a slight headache.
How you handle your alcohol question. There are individuals that I know that when they get smashed change completely. So they might be shy and quiet before they drink, once they are drunk, they become very talkative , act incredibly silly, etc, etc, the behaviour does not match their regular profile

No one knows which way the wind blows....I have learned patience and using S/R at volume peaks (both the VBP and daily volume are significant) that it has some chance of moving. And it could be down, but it will be a second buying opportunity it if does.
Here's a weekly view from my perspective:

The colored MAs are AVWAP, dashed blue is IPO, light blue is ATL. The others are noted from recent highs and lows. It's o/s atm, can become more o/s. Buy following similar rules to Sol, and wait for the turn...

And here's another fave, PLTR. This is my primary style filter developed over many months after becoming engaged with TI. I have very few filters anymore, mostly where high volume occurs and supporting AVWAP, plus I look at the volatility bands. Momentum and trend indicators are secondary but I really don't think they tell you much of anything, at least not imo.
NOTHING is 100% guaranteed. The rest is sentiment, per TI.

But knowing the date range, stock symbol, graphing tool, and having any MACDs or trend lines labeled as to parameters used would be helpful for future self sufficient fishing expeditions.
T.I. has presented the following index (McClellan Volume Summation Index) on a regular basis in its various publications:

So, for illustrative purposes, we're gonna speak in your favourite language, the language of level 3, i.e. conventional math and science.
Most mainstream and even half-decent independent financial analysts would interpret a declining/lowish McClellan Volume Summation Index in the context of upwards trending markets as being bearish, i.e. fewer and fewer stocks are rising to support the market index under consideration. At the risk of oversimplification, the general theory is that at some point, this small number of stocks will crash and take down the whole market with them.
However, in what I consider a minor stroke of genius, T.I. views it as being part of a "silent correction," i.e. a bunch of stocks are correcting or have corrected, and when the few that are holding the market in question up do correct, the ones that have already corrected will rise, and continue to support the market in its bullish trending, or at the very least, minimize the anticipated correction.
I have not come across this interpretation anywhere, and I also happen to believe it is the most accurate one.
Brilliance aside, the point is that depending on your lens of perception, the same objective, quantifiable, mathematical data may be viewed in extremely divergent ways, leading to antithetical conclusions.
Tying this in with technical analysis (TA) in general, two individuals may view the same exact chart and come to very different interpretations.

Yodean very revealing, thanks for that explanation.

You are using the wrong embed codes so your images are not displaying. I edited both your posts and put the correct URL. You are posting the URL in this format https://ibb.co/VqXHBnxMarkD wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 6:37 pm And here's another fave, PLTR. If you want the image to display in your post, you need to choose one of the two BB formats. The codes have to be in BB format. When you have finished uploading your image you will come to the screen and towards the middle, it will say embed codes. Click on the drop menu and select BB codes. And then choose one of them

and if you create an account, this setting will be saved almost forever

Common ground here? I am watching this one also. It's a long term play but the volatility is nuts.

We might consider it again if it hits the 19.00 to 22 ranges. It is a very volatile stock, hence it should not be held for long periods.
