HRL Hormel

Post by Budge »

Became a new play Feb 17. Buy range 42-44, but if it traded to 51 cancel.

Feb 28 updates buy range to 44-46 with no indication that 51 cancellation was no longer in effect.

Current update still has HRL listed although it's pierced 51 a number of times (in fact reaching it's all time high of 53.19 March 7).

Cancel or not to cancel? I vote for keeping it in although I'd favor upping buy range. Not sure we'll see the price of 46 for a while. Right industry at the right time. Plenty of junk food for the masses.

As an aside, I see the retired CEO (11 years) Jeffrey Ettinger is running (as a D) for the vacant congressional seat left by demise of Jim Hagedorn (R). Plenty of scandal swirling. Hagedorn's widow thinking of running causing GOP leadership heartburn.

This has happened quite a few times with TIT plays. Generally, I follow the most up-to-date instructions, i.e. if there is no mention of cancelling a play in the most recent publication, I assume the previous "cancellation" instructions have been ... cancelled.

That's correct, follow the instructions in the latest update
