Option hit the strike price but I'm still negative
Hey today an option I have (MKC $95 12-17) the underlying stock is over the strike price but I'm still negative on the option. It expires today. Is there anything I can do other than sell at a loss or let it expire at a loss?
Current atmospheric levels of CO2 (400ppm) are much lower than 500 million years ago (3000-9000ppm).

Yea sell at a loss
Theta decay goes into hyperdrive when the option gets closer to expiration so hence the loss.

Your breakeven is the strike price plus the cost of the option. If you paid, for instance, 1.50 for the 95 strike option you'd need the stock to get past 96.50 today to see a gain. If more time were available it would be less than the breakeven price because time is money.

Sell at a loss if the loss is more than the commission and redeploy when the time is right. With options the battle is fast and furious, You are down today and then suddenly you are up.Triplethought wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 3:29 pm Hey today an option I have (MKC $95 12-17) the underlying stock is over the strike price but I'm still negative on the option.
