Re: Experience with covid vaccine
Someone I know personally wrote this recently:
*****
I am double Vaxxed. A week or two after my first vaccination, I was hospitalized with a stroke, the first one in my life. In early November my alma mater, U.B.C., sent me a survey about the Covid vaccinations. In either question four or five, the survey asked whether I had been in hospital since being vaccinated. If I answered yes, I had to supply the exact date I was hospitalized. I could only remember that it was in the month of May, so I entered that month but no day.
The survey froze and refused to let me continue. I tried three times; every time that I did not enter an exact day it kicked me out of the survey. I wrote to the surveyors — some medical department at UBC — about this glitch. (Because, 6 months after the hospitalization, I could not remember the exact date.) Dara, the person conducting the survey, wrote back, instructing me to just enter any date I wanted to. She assured me (without my asking) that the dates would not be fact checked.
That brings up a significant problem. Most people responding to this survey would complete it because they were not in the hospital, and therefore were not frozen out of responding. So their responses, indicating the vaccinations had no bad health effects, were counted 100%. But of those who had been in the hospital, perhaps half would not remember the exact date they were hospitalized, especially because in most cases it would have occurred six months or more prior to the survey.
So most of these respondents, being “kicked out” of the survey, would just give up and not complete it. Some, either acting on their own, or on Dara’s advice, would lie and enter a false date. But these would be a very small portion of the hospitalized. As such, of the people who had actually been hospitalized after being vaccinated, most would not (be able to) complete their survey, ergo their hospitalizations would not be counted.
I am quite certain that an estimated 80% of those who were hospitalized would not be counted in the survey. (I suspect this might be as high as 90 – 95%.) Here is a very approximate example of how this survey distorts the truth:
Say there are 200 respondents to the survey. Say 100 of these experienced no subsequent hospitalization, but 100 did. However, due to the significant flaw in the survey, only 20 of those who were hospitalized complete the survey and become part of the results. So although the truth is that one in two (100 of 200) or 50% of people who are vaccinated are later hospitalized, the survey states that only 20 in 120 (only 120 respondents, not 200 any more) (or 1/6th, or 17%) are hospitalized — a huge distortion from the actual truth of 50%.
I emailed the surveyors twice to suggest that they change the format to conform to reality, but they refused, again suggesting that I enter false data in order to have my response counted.
This is how “science” lies to us. This survey and its intentionally distorted results will be published and sent to news media to show how low the hospitalization rate from vax’ing is — a finding that is completely and deliberately false. Even after being informed of this basic, truth-distorting flaw, the surveyors refused to correct it. They even refused to reduce the 4th question to “month only,” or to put a little note in the survey, advising people that they could enter any made-up date, as long as it was an exact date. (I’m not worried about them suing me, as I have the emails.)
In other words, the university’s distorting of results was intentional, designed to yield false results to achieve and support their preconceived opinion. No wonder people don’t trust “the science” any more, when “science” is built on deception and is only an instrument to put a “gold stamp” on lies and bias.

One minor example of how "studies" may be fudged in certain ways to yield a certain result to support a specific narrative.
Another person I know, a healthy man in his forties, died from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm (could be considered a type of stroke, or cerebrovascular accident) a few days post-vaccination. Left behind two young children, a housewife, no will.
In other news, Pfizer is up approximately 45% YTD.

Re: Experience with covid vaccine
The more money they create money out of thin air the more crap one can expect. As one scientist put it, the science of today (at least in the West) is to arrive at a conclusion that generates more profits. We expect more dirty games to play out, so expect all out on war on what really matters for in the end Greed trumps all.
UPDATE 2-BioNTech says it expects more data on new variant in two weeks
FRANKFURT, Nov 26 (Reuters) - BioNTech, the inventor of the western world's most widely used COVID-19 vaccine, said it expects more data on a worrying new coronavirus variant detected in South Africa within two weeks to help determine whether its shot would have to be reworked.
"We understand the concern of experts and have immediately initiated investigations on variant B.1.1.529," the biotech firm, which is in a vaccine alliance with Pfizer, said in a statement when asked to comment.
"We expect more data from the laboratory tests in two weeks at the latest. These data will provide more information about whether B.1.1.529 could be an escape variant that may require an adjustment of our vaccine if the variant spreads globally," it added.
Escape variants are those that elude the targeted immune response brought about by vaccination. Should it be necessary, Pfizer and BioNTech would be able to redesign their shot within 6 weeks and ship initial batches within 100 days, BioNTech added.

Translation, they will have a so-called booster shot soon that deals with this and then many more. It's all about money.

The life blood of so many uni science departments is the grant money. Skew your results the "right" way and the money spigots stay open.Yodean wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 1:06 pm

Re: Experience with covid vaccine
Any experiences or opinions on Novavax? Seems like a big portion of unvaccinated people in Singapore who have been holding out are inclined to get this jab once its approved

Re: Experience with covid vaccine
What I read from the medias, this vaccine is more traditional, not a mRNA vaccine, but the protein spike is inoculated with an adjuvant. Question is, which adjuvant ?

Re: Experience with covid vaccine
The adjuvant appears to come from the Bark of a tree. However, one will need to see the full list of ingredients from NOVAVAX to be sure
here is some more info on this
How does the Novavax vaccine work?
The Novavax COVID-19 vaccine contains a protein (made using moth cells) plus an adjuvant (made from tree bark). An adjuvant is an ingredient added to boost a person's immune response, creating higher levels of antibodies.
The Novavax vaccine uses a telltale piece of the coronavirus: the notorious spike protein. All alone, the spike protein is harmless and can't cause COVID-19. When your immune system encounters the lonely spike protein, it produces antibodies against it. This gives you protection against future COVID-19 infection.
"Unlike mRNA vaccines, the spike protein is already premade in the Novavax vaccine. It's a shortcut," explains Dr. Florescu. "All the synthesis happens outside the body and we just give the end product: the spike protein."
Like other COVID-19 vaccines, Novavax does not cause COVID-19 infection. It can't get you sick. This vaccine doesn't contain either live or inactivated virus.
How did they get the spike protein?
The Novavax method uses moth cells to make spike proteins:
Researchers select the desired genes that create certain SARS-CoV-2 antigens (spike protein).
Researchers put the genes into a baculovirus, an insect virus.
The baculovirus infects moth cells and replicates inside them.
These moth cells create lots of spike proteins.
Researchers extract and purify the spike proteins.
"The Novavax vaccine has no genetic material, only proteins," says Dr. Florescu. "The vaccine technology is more traditional, and it's very similar to a protein-based influenza vaccine."

Re: Experience with covid vaccine
Seems to me they are being extremely deliberate in their wording to eliminate the only widely successful objection to bring jabbed (the religious objection). I saw this coming weeks ago, hence why I'm looking to find a doctor that will actually write a medical exemption. Doctors at "Health Partners" which has a near total monopoly on healthcare in Minnesota and western Wisconsin have been told they'll be fired if they write a medical exemption for anyone.

Re: Experience with covid vaccine
https://www.orlandosentinel.com/opinion ... story.htmlThe main bill under consideration (Senate Bill 2B and House Bill 1B) forces employers to offer a series of exemptions from having to get the vaccine. Those include exemptions for religious or medical reasons. With the exception of people who have had a severe allergic reaction to a vaccine, very few people cannot get vaccinated. Most common medical conditions such as diabetes make people more vulnerable to the coronavirus — not the shots. So we wonder how many credible doctors would be willing to sign off on this.
Also included under the exemptions is pregnancy, even though pregnant women are more vulnerable to COVID-19 and the benefits of the vaccines outweigh its potential risks, according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.
And then, there’s the “anticipated pregnancy” exemption. Could anyone with a womb claim that exemption? Given that many women believe the shots lead to infertility, though there’s no evidence of that, that doesn’t sound far-fetched. The Department of Health would be tasked with determining who falls under this category. Based on the head of the agency, vaccine skeptic Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, we don’t expect that process to make much sense.
Employers also would be barred from imposing a mandate if a worker can provide proof of “COVID-19 immunity,” which seems to cover people who had a previous infection. Just like eating your fruits and vegetables, DeSantis and vaccine skeptics have promoted “natural immunity” as the equivalent or better than the “processed” immunity you get from the vaccine, even though the latter provides stronger protection, according to a CDC study.
Some of the other exceptions proposed by lawmakers do seem more reasonable, such as allowing unvaccinated employees to take periodic COVID tests at no cost to them. That, however, is already an option under Biden’s mandate. So, what’s the point of this special session other than to give irresponsible, unvaccinated workers an official stamp of approval from the Legislature?
Where the GOP is today with relation to businesses is a long way from where the party was just earlier this year, when the Legislature passed a law that gives businesses immunity from COVID-related lawsuits. It’s also in sharp contrast to where the party was before the pandemic. Just two years ago, DeSantis signed a law without fanfare to require health-care providers to enter children’s immunization records into a state registry. The legislation was approved almost unanimously despite opposition from anti-vaccine groups that protested outside the Capitol.
Back then, both political parties saw these groups as tinfoil-hat types. Today, one party has happily welcomed them into its tent.
Another bill under consideration would allocate $1 million to the governor’s office to come up with a plan to withdraw Florida from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the federal agency that will enforce Biden’s mandates. The legislation calls for the creation of a state agency — aka, more state bureaucracy and cost to taxpayers so Republicans can stick it to Biden.
As the Herald reported, some experts believe a new state agency likely wouldn’t reduce the regulatory burden on businesses because it would have to be as effective as OSHA. So why do we need a new agency? Perhaps so that Florida Republicans have control over a new bureaucratic machine for their own political endeavors. It’s not lost on us that Senate President Wilton Simpson and another top GOP lawmaker own companies that have been fined by OSHA in the past for workplace issues.
Who’s truly benefiting from sending legislators to Tallahassee starting Monday? The small, but loud, minority of workers who confuse vaccine resistance with freedom. And, of course, a governor for whom it is politically expedient to appeal to vaccine skepticism in the midst of a pandemic that has killed more than 60,000 Floridians.
@Eric since there is very little love lost between the Republicans and democrats. I think more red states will take a similar stance. Would getting a medical exemption letter from Dr in Mexico help. An associate did that and for now it seems to be working
