Guess today is when we sell at best possible priceSOL wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 3:58 pmIt is at 65, but remember it is an end of day stop.AstuteShift wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 2:50 pmIs the stop for APPS 65 or 56? Having said that, we are looking at the pattern closely. If the pattern shows signs of possible strength we will add to the position. If not we will cut our losses.
The stock is not an MU play and is being discussed in the wrong section.
Usually I sell before but I forgot about this play lol. No big deal still in the black from previous plays!

Surely we don't sell as it finished the day at 65.77?AstuteShift wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 11:34 amGuess today is when we sell at best possible priceSOL wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 3:58 pmIt is at 65, but remember it is an end of day stop.AstuteShift wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 2:50 pm

I was around 50% up with 3 lots at one stage with this play before it crashed so very disappointing but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes, others have dropped significantly too of late.

The rules are to sell only if it closes at or below the stop price, preferably below.
When the words short term appear under any post; the same conditions listed in the Market update under the short term category apply

It did not close at or below 65, so the sell has not been triggered. @YogaQueen:
UPLD (Upland Software, Inc.) is not a Market Update play, it's an AITT (Artificial Intelligence Trend Trader) play ... AITT is a separate Tactical Investor service.

if end of day stop eg. @65 do i have to keep checking it every day to see if it ended the day below 65 so i have to sell the next morning (priced at what time window?) to see if it is yet below 65?

@SOL I think this stock (APPS) is a great one to learn about your thought process. I forgot that this was a Tactical Investor play. It just so happens I have been watching it on my own and I just bought it, lol. To me this has a clear line of support around 62. The RSI is low and the fundamentals seem to be pretty good. Why would you consider this a selling point instead of a buying point? Thanks

A stop was issued. which means we can't just change things at the drop of a hat. It would be unbecoming. We have to bear in mind that there are subscribers that don't check their emails all the time and a stop was placed at 65.00, so we have to honour the stop. Having said that it is a great company but our focus is always on patience and discipline and by skirting the rules we would clearly be indicating that we talk big but don't practise what we preach. Now, we might consider opening new positions in this stock, but for now we have to honour the stop we issued.

@Sol I did not anticipate your reasoning to be logistical in nature. I assumed I was missing something technical that you saw and wanted to learn what that was.
I appreciate it is a totally different game to recommend stock trading at scale, to users with different risk profiles. My question did not imply that I was second guessing your process.

I find personally that it's best to set a stop loss and stick to it, you can always get back in at a later date when you've had time to reassess, often though if you don't follow them then a loss or break even can lead to a large loss and just breeds ill discipline. You are following a different strategy with this play so this could be irrelevant for you personally.
