if I had sold earlier every single time I would have made 3X more money. Hence, over the years, I never complain when I have sold at a profit. Always be happy that you can offter the next chap a chance to make a buck.

Here are some quotes with sage advice when it comes to the markets

“The stock market is always there. It has been there for centuries, and it lives longer than anyone of us here. Therefore, don’t rush and trade all your capital like there is no tomorrow.” — Benjamin Lee

“All your trades must be at position sizes that make you unbreakable mentally and emotionally.” — Steve Burns

“The secret recipe for success in stock market is simple. 30% in market analysis skills, 30% in risks management, 30% in emotion control, and 10% in luck.” — Benjamin Lee

I have two basic rules about winning in trading as well as in life: 1. If you don’t bet, you can’t win. 2. If you lose all your chips, you can’t bet.” — Larry Hite

“If you can’t take a small loss, sooner or later you will take the mother of all losses.” — Ed Seykota

“Accepting losses is the most important single investment device to insure safety of capital.” — Gerald M. Loeb

“Take your profits or someone else will take them for you.” — J.J. Evans

“In investing, what is comfortable is rarely profitable.” — Robert Arnott

If a speculator is correct half of the time, he is hitting a good average. Even being right 3 or 4 times out of 10 should yield a person a fortune if he has the sense to cut his losses quickly on the ventures where he is wrong.” — Bernard Baruch

“Investing is not supposed to be easy. Anyone who finds it easy is stupid.” — Charlie Munger

“The whole secret to winning big in the stock market is not to be right all the time, but to lose the least amount possible when you’re wrong.” — William J. O’Neil

“Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.” — Unknown

Yet it appears you are doing quite well or holding up well :). Are those all Tactical Investor updates? I think if one follows the general TI philosophy and rules the rest is relatively easy. It's learning to be patient and disciplined that takes some work

it seems lately coming into a buy trade later for the most part gets a better price as in Fisv. this AM i dallied and got 98.68. It seems a fairly consistent event lately the laggart getting a better deal and if wondering if there is some significance to this?

I have benefited from being slow on the draw sometimes too. The human gambling brain remembers wins and forgets losses. So I try to remember the other times... when I missed a dip and didn't get into a MU stock play. I can't say how many times each has happened but I have to believe they are about equal.

11/3/21 bought JKHY @$157. (down to $154 this morning if you want to jump on it). News was that cfo and cto are retiring. However it's not that they're jumping ship as much as retiring after 30 years. a software as a service company with recurring revenues so I think is should be resistant to individuals leaving
