Yodean wrote something in old topic "Changing Lot Size" re changing lot size that i think is good advice but not sure if it is situational : " Also, if there are old plays that are still within TI's entry points, you could fill those up to the new lot sizes. This way you avoid second-guessing yourself"
For myself i am underinvested because of early wave smaller lot sizes from 35 to 80% below current lot size: in Tait ( ai) Avt Benchmark Mj htlf and somewhat in TLT ranging from about -3% to +7.5% in market value currently and im wondering if there is any reason not to follow this advice on any of these, situationally? In addition way under invested in general as it seems all of a sudden only have about 43% of my money allocated actually invested so wondering if i should concern re pumping this up somehow or just waiting for real bargain truck situ. Thks

I'm at 50% invested too and although I'm concerned about the "cash drag" on overall performance. I sort of assume and hope there are more dips to come. Early this year I decided to "do something about it" and doubled my lot size. Unfortunately some of those plays I bought haven't worked out (under water) so I've decided to go back to my original lot size, as I found I'm more comfortable there.Centeron631 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 3:51 pm Yodean wrote something in old topic "Changing Lot Size" re changing lot size that i think is good advice but not sure if it is situational : " Also, if there are old plays that are still within TI's entry points, you could fill those up to the new lot sizes. Off topic a bit but FWIW I recently decided to deploy $10K each in Prosper.com (doing $250 each Microloans) for 3 years and Fundrise.com (Real estate REITs for 5 years). Both are considered "alternative investments" both are relatively illiquid. I expect returns from prosper around 8-9% and from Fundrise probably 10% plus. I may deploy more but my concern is if the economy goes really bad I have no real "security" or collateral to go after with these firms. Prosper has history during both Covid and the previous downturn and generally had fewer defaults than one would expect for unsecured personal loans. Fundrise immediately showed me over 10% ROI over my invested balance and I suspect that's a gimmick to get you hooked (probably showing returns for the next year in advance)
Current atmospheric levels of CO2 (400ppm) are much lower than 500 million years ago (3000-9000ppm).
