According to the seasonality thesis the turn of the month uptick of the markets effect called TOM is a coming for the last trade day of the month which is tomorrow Friday and the first 3 trading days of the next month August ----soo may be a good chance to make some sales. The chart also shows the the 5th last trading day of the month to be a negative day and in fact it was so on Monday. This holds stronger apparently for small stocks and value stocks so hope it helps here too.

I took a look at the article, and for the most part, this kind of stuff is basically rubbish. May have some relevance if you're a hotshot day-trader, but otherwise kinda terrible.
Agreed, total rubbish, not worth bothering with for the trend trader, be better off with a coin toss!

Yes, a lot of negativity for AYX. Technically, it could touch the lower trend line at 60$. Tomorrow, I put a buy order at 70, for my first lot. On the chart daily and weekly, if the price touches 70, we'l begin to see positive divergence wth MACD. Its all good

I think I'll do the same at market open tomorrow - try to get my 2nd lot @ 70.00. If not, will go with T.I. recommendation @ 72.00.

Btw, thanks again for the "yoga flow" routine - been doing it every day, sometimes more than once, and feel great. The Queen and Prince Asanas are a great combination for me personally. Not too hard, but not too easy either - just right.

great catch is there a way to set alerts on aftermarket trading?? I would never have watched for this had you not mentioned it.

Serendipity, really. I'm pretty low-tech. I use barchart.com, and scan my watchlists there during certain parts of the day when I am not away from my desk, including just after market close. Same thing with pre-market trading. Amazon recently dropped 7% or so in aftermarket trading on mixed Q2 results, pretty interesting.

Currently I'm using two layers of alerts, one on Interactive Brokers platform and one in the Investing.com app. The Interactive Brokers alert caught the AYX drop as an email notification.

As someone that has been trading AYX calls since August of 2020, I can tell you there's a pattern: AYX beats earnings estimates, stock gets smashed down at least 10% on the good news. Repeat. I'm sitting on a pile of AYX January-2022 $150 calls right now, they're down 95%. I did trade massive volatility on them a few times so my total cost basis on them is something less than $2,000.

I also took a beating on those AYX Calls, but then I can be quite crazy at times. I loaded on MTCH and two other volatile stocks and then made up the loss plus 150%. Don't do what I do. I am just sharing an experience. For I view the market as a game, so when I lose I think of it as a momentary step back before I advance. Sort of like taking a breather before sprinting again.
