Mind Valley - Valuable or Nonsense?

Post by xkosmox »

Hello everyone,

I've been considering a Mindvalley subscription for a while.
(If you're not sure what Mindvalley is, they offer 50+ courses for US$499/year currently for courses such as https://www.mindvalley.com/uncompromised
https://www.mindvalley.com/longevity
https://www.mindvalley.com/10x/quest
https://www.mindvalley.com/energy-medicine
https://www.mindvalley.com/superbrain)

Have been looking up reviews online, which are either super positive (Almost cult-like) or super negative.

Wanted to tap on the personal experiences of anyone here: What have you heard about Mindvalley; is it worth a try and are there actual results; or is it pure hogwash?
Anyone has tried any particular courses?

Cheers.

In regards to fitnes there is a simple routine, I think its called peak intensity. You exercise 270 seconds per day and that it. You will be cut if you do that and remove crap from your diet. Oh most wont be able to complete the 270 seconds, you will either collapse from exhaustion or give up.

The guy with the super brain, the Jim Kwik, he is in very bad company, I see him with Bill gates and Michel obama. I would not trust this Kwik. If the other coaches are also in so bad company, I would never trust them.

If you really want to practice a rewarding activity, look at the ancients. There are in the world very ancient cultures and interesting people who still practice very old activities, the ancients had no interest to lie, you can trust them. From India, you have yoga. Yoga pradipika is a good read to apprehend the hatha yoga. From Iran, you have zurkhaneh, the oldest fitness workout of the world. You can purchase the meels here

https://www.bodymind-fit.com/?v=d3dcf429c679

Once again from India, you have the kushti training, the physical training of kushti wrestlers. It seems its the same training of the ancient Greeks in the palestra.

From England, you have the boxing, the best cardio vascular training.

And of course, the best of the best, you have the chinese qigong.

All these activities have passed the test of time, you can trust them......

would not bother with this since the fitness and wellness industry are notorious to be terrible and a hole in ones pocket.

first thing is to examine your diet, eliminate anything that has no natural ingredients
another is to lower your stress, do a hobby you enjoy or better yet read a good book
if you want to lose weight, just eat a little less than your basic metabolic rate.
be consistent with your workout, you can do bodyweight or use weights, the key is discipline but diet is the number one factor

fitness in general is 90% diet 10% fitness exercises. there is no magic wonder programs that beats patience and discipline

Of course healthy food is essantiel. But the problem evrywhere in the world, our bodies become more and more insuline resistant. The best solution to lose fat is to become more insuline sensitive.

The best tip to become more insuline sensitive: 30 minutes before eating your breakfast, drink water mixed with a vinager spoon and drink it with a straw to protect your teeth. I do it and its effective, it works. You will lose fat.

I can concur with this and the many other benefits of cider vinegar. one of which is to keep the kidneys clean. And drinking through a straw is the smart way or immediately after you drink cider vinegar rinse your mouth with another glass of water.

I noticed for the test, in the linked ADA article, they added sugar to the vinegar/water mix. Do you do this as well, is it necessary?

Actually, the best way to drink cider vinegar is with honey (to taste, I use up to 2 teaspoons of good honey per 1 to 2 tablespoons of vinegar). I mix the honey and cider vinegar in warm water, it makes it more palatable plus you get the additional benefits from honey. However, I only use good honey and when possible I am for raw honey.

ACV

Post by Yodean »

Lol, you guys seem to like ACV.

Here's a half-decent summary article, with references that one may fact-check, on some of the purported benefits of ACV:

https://www.naturalblaze.com/2021/07/fi ... negar.html

*****

1. Aids in Weight Loss and Maintenance

Several human studies show that vinegar may increase feelings of fullness, which can lead to eating fewer calories and losing weight. In a study, taking vinegar with a high-carbohydrate meal resulted in increased feelings of fullness, leading subjects to eat 200 to 275 fewer calories throughout the day.[ii], [iii]

Similar benefits have been seen in fruit vinegars like apple, pomegranate and prickly pear vinegars, helping prevent obesity and related cardiac complications due to their potent anti-inflammatory and anti-adiposity properties.[v]

2. Fights Harmful Bacteria
Vinegar has demonstrated strong anti-pathogen action, including fighting bacteria.[vi] Using organic acids as supplements has, in fact, been deemed safe and effective in eliminating harmful bacteria in the intestines.

A study probed the antimicrobial ability of ACV against pathogens including E. coli, S. aureus and C. albicans.[vii] The results showed that the vinegar had multiple antibacterial potential, with the concentration of ACV required to inhibit microbial growth varying for each species. Follow-up research showed that ACV can also successfully eradicate methicillin-resistant bacteria.[viii]

3. Assists in Managing Diabetes and Blood Sugar Levels
Consuming apple cider vinegar may positively affect glycemic index and oxidative stress in Type 2 diabetics.[ix]

Among healthy subjects who ate a bread meal, supplementing with vinegar lowered glucose and insulin responses, as well as increased fullness.[x] “The results indicate an interesting potential of fermented and pickled products containing acetic acid,” the researchers wrote. In a separate small study, subjects with diabetes reported that consuming 2 tablespoons of ACV before bedtime decreased their fasting blood sugar by 4% the next morning.[xi]

4. Helps Control Candida Infection
Apple cider vinegar has exhibited antifungal properties, particularly against Candida (yeast) species in patients with denture stomatitis, a common inflammatory reaction to wearing dentures.[xii]

A 32-year-old woman with chronic vaginal candida infection[xiii] who failed to respond to other therapies also recovered with the application of ACV, which can be considered for patients who are unresponsive to conventional medical therapies for this condition.

5. Helps Improve Heart Health
Animal studies suggest that ACV can optimize cholesterol and triglyceride levels, along with other common risk factors in heart disease.[xiv],[xv]

Cooking with vinegar or consuming it alone remain the best ways to incorporate ACV into your diet. You can also dilute vinegar with water and drink it as a beverage.

If you’re wondering about the “right” amount of apple cider vinegar to take, a 2016 review stated that consuming a drink with 15 milliliters, or about 1 tablespoon, of vinegar every day was typically enough to see potential health benefits.[xvii] Experts also recommend getting organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar that retains the “mother,” or a cloudy, murky appearance, for optimal health benefits.

Yes, and the ancients also already knew the benefits of POSCA

Hippocrat also recognized all the benefits of vinager mixed with honey.

And yes, the best probiotic vinager to drink is the non pasteurized, the raw with the "mother".

Well, I'm in luck, our neighbor is a beekeeper and there are many in the region. We get milk warm from the cow, pensioners and others pick berries (I go to our back yard) and mushrooms for extra money, and this town is known for it's water, three companies bottle it.
