When observed from a different angle, this is the pendulum of freedom swinging in the opposite direction. The West will head towards a police state, we are almost fully there (and we spoke of this years in advance) and the East and all those so-called iron-handed nations, the pendulum will swing towards the direction of freedom.

I view democracy the way I view marriage: both are absolutely terrible ideas, until you consider the alternatives.

Democracy is the process by which four wolves and a lamb vote on the lunch menu.

Married men live longer than single men. But married men are a lot more willing to die.

Married men only live longer because they feel and remember every second of the pain, so it seems longer.

In reality, there are studies that show that single men can live just as long if not longer. Many single women do just fine.

The idea should be to find a strategic partner and make a deal that once it is not strategically viable you both have the option to split. However, for that you need to meet one that is open-minded and thinks close to your level.

Democracy in its current state is for dumb asses. that is why the US pushed Russia overboard and it is trying so hard to destroy the CCP. Despite all the crap one points against the CCP, the US government could be classified as being even worse. At least the CCP is able to move in a fast way and keep things organized because they don't allow the masses (usually mindless bots) to have a say in matters they don't understand. I am not saying i favour the CCP. Only pointing out that when it comes to the US government, they can't afford to point fingers as it would be like the pot calling the kettle black.

Same thing is going on in the USA. It seems the idea is to use the cops against Normal Law Abiding citizens and give criminals a free pass to whatever they want
