Downtrend and UpTrend Profits?

Post by langdj »

Here is my strategy to make money on the down and uptrend of the potential chaos. 60% of my money is in stocks. The remaining 40% (sold a bunch in the last few weeks) will be divvied up as follows:

Day Trading Drop - 25% - Inverse ETFs that make money when markets go down or are volatile like SPXS, FNGD, SCO, SQQQ, LABD and UVXY

Short Term Downtrend 25% - PUTS. I am / will be doing short term Nov 20th puts on SNAP, ADP, ALGN and maybe PINS. These are all stocks that are oversold even in this environment.

Bargain Basement 50% - Watching the deals come! Mostly Sol's plays plus maybe even some of the big tech that is always too expensive like NVDIA, AMD or high flyers stocks like PYPL, DDOG and SQ

I honestly hope the election is not contested but I am frothing at the mouth to take advantage of it if it is.

Diclaimer, I am new to trading this year. Take anything I say with a grain of salt ;-)

Like children new traders that have not been indoctrinated tend to see the big picture aka light faster than those that have been. Having said that trading like life is a big game, if you don't take it seriously then everything works out for one can automatically see things that those that are to busy worrying cannot.

Children don't take life seriously that is why they enjoy it so much and adults because they are secretly jealous try to make them focus on crap they don't need to nor care for and in doing so kill that bright light that radiated from their eyes.
When the words short term appear under any post; the same conditions listed in the Market update under the short term category apply

The end is always near; its the beginning and how you live each moment that counts the most
