Charting Apps

Post by blogbuilder »

Hi all,

I've very new to charting and want to get started!

What charting apps / software do you recommend?

I'm specifically looking for chart RSI values (i.e. oversold) with the option to send me an alert if it hits 30 and below. Covering USA and UK stocks. Free or I'm happy to purchase a subscriptions if I need to.

Thanks,

Andrew

A good fremium source is tradingview.com. The basic service is not bad, but if you want to save more than three studies you need to upgrade to premium, which in my opinion is better and cheaper than stockcharts.com

Bigcharts.com is not bad but their charts are not as great as tradingview
When the words short term appear under any post; the same conditions listed in the Market update under the short term category apply

The end is always near; its the beginning and how you live each moment that counts the most

I agree with Sol. TradingView is great even on mobile. It is also capable of showing crypto pricing if you are into it.

I was avoiding ThinkOrSwim because you need a TD Ameritrade account (although it doesn't appear you need to put any funds into it). So far the graphs are blowing my mind. Web based and free is all great but nothing beats a local application.
Current atmospheric levels of CO2 (400ppm) are much lower than 500 million years ago (3000-9000ppm).
