TLT and TMF

Post by jonnyfrank »

I own some of these TMF and TLT ETFs, and am trying to figure out the best course of action with them right now. I know SOL has entry points for them, but I am curious as to why it would be worth holding them in light of the current FED stance. How can these go up if rates are stuck in neutral or may continue to sneak up? They had some momentum back in December but have hit headwinds for the past few months. Why should I how them now, and how can they go up if inflation remains stubborn? I am thinking of selling and perhaps buying later when the Fed change course. Thoughts? Is it possible for bonds to go up if rates are sneaking up?

The bond market is just not the sector to be in.

I just observe it, I don’t see zero interest rates anytime soon unless we get black swans again

Bonds will do fine at some near term point imo. Likely after the stock market tops and demand for commodities ends, rates will drop as demand goes down. Same old cycle.

LT, the dollar will impact all.
