https://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?singlepost=4009724What struck my immediately, however, was the fact that virtually everyone older than 30ish by my gaze (of course I didn't take a survey) was wildly and obviously unhealthy. And by that I mean seriously overweight or obese, with the skew especially bad among women. The kids, surprisingly -- and there were a lot of them in attendance -- were mostly not.
Folks, I've written much about the impending collapse of the American health care system....
The article I posted up the other day on the impact of federal deficit spending was "polite" -- perhaps too polite, given what's facing this nation. I'll bet half the people in that stadium are drug-dependent -- not heroin, meth or similar, but filling prescriptions every month believing all is ok because they're popping said pills down their throat sequentially rather than changing their lifestyle to address the underlying causes of what's wrong with them.
Let me be clear: If you're one of those people in the next couple of years you have a very high probability of losing access to that and being severely impacted, up to and including being dead.
This is not a joke.
The "pandemic" was used by government to permanently reset federal spending about 50% higher, from approximately $4 trillion a year to just over $6 trillion. This has now flowed through to tax receipts which are dropping and inflation is raging, no matter that they try to tell you. Medicare and Medicaid are a full one third, or over $2 trillion a year, of this spend and are basically the entire deficit. There is no other single area of the budget that is anywhere near that in total and what's worse is that only Medicare has a tax component paying for part of it and it is very small in comparison, leaving CMS roughly 80% unfunded....
If you require medical care and treatment today and can't or won't change your lifestyle to fix that you're fucked. I don't know exactly how bad you're fucked or exactly what sort of damage that fucking will take but you are fucked and, if you're an adult and have sat through the last decade of this bullshit without doing anything about it not only are you fucked you deserve to be fucked because you have deliberately let it happen.
Congratulations America; the awarding of your prize as a direct consequence of your actions is now imminent.

He is quite a polite bloke, isn't he? On a more serious note, he doesn't mince words, and sadly, he is telling the truth, albeit in a blunt, no-taking-prisoners kind of manner. Relative by any chance?

Congrats, another thing to be proud of. Some of the tallest people come from Belgium; you have beautiful horses, some of the most talented Dog breeds, and Now health care. It would be almost the perfect spot if they just became less woke. Oh, and you have some great beer.

Mossels au vin blanc, with white beer, ok
Fries potatoes, ok but not too much, one or two times per month.
Beer, blue chimay, fantastic beer, but like the fries, max two times per month.
Pralines (chocolate) godiva, very expensive, one time per year, for my wife's birthday.
But they dont speak of the north sea maatjes, delicious, its now the best season to eat it everyday. I eat maatjes everyday for breakfast, with onions and vinegar, best way to become and stay insuline sensitive. Americans should eat it eveyday before going to work. Best solution to diminish the obesity plague, Americans are too much insuline resistant.

Maatjes
I don't think I 've ever had the real fresh stuff, just rollmops & equivalent.

Rollmops, very good also, for all year round, during maatjes off season. Good source of omega3 fatty acid.
Surprising that english people dont eat more herring maatjes.

Yep, unfortunately many English people are so full of sausage rolls, chips and onion rings that they have no room left for food.stefk wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 6:07 pm

Are these North Sea maatjes fresh or pickled? If they're fresh and lightly cooked in butter, they should tickle most taste buds in a tantalising manner

The art of eating healthy appears to be a lost art. Today, the gold standard is to make it big at any cost. Relatively speaking, most people do make it big, though not in the way they imagined. They have doubled or tripled in size. It does not matter if you weigh as much as a tank in the process as long as you make it big. Stuffing oneself with rubbish is in; eating smartly and healthy is out.
Some Russian and Armenian Jokes
Q: What do Russians eat for dessert?
A: Rice Putin.
Q: What do you call a Lada on a hill?
A: A bloody miracle.
This is Armenian Radio; our listeners asked us: “Is it possible to make ends meet on salary alone?”
We’re answering: “We don't know, we never tried.”
This is Armenian Radio; our listeners asked us: “Is it true that American skyscrapers are the tallest in the world?”
We’re answering: “Yes, it's true, but on the other hand the Soviet-made transistors are the largest in the world.”
