Agreed. This is one of the ways we all can benefit from this relentless and persistent green movement that has consumed politicians and the woke which actually I'm okay with it. Whatever. Europe has already seen, this past winter, the effects of electrifying the economy when the wind doesn't blow or the sun isn't shining. Biden is late to the party. The UK is already doing this.Yodean wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 6:55 pmYep, nuclear energy, for me, is a "when" question, not an "if" question, barring a major accident.scott wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 6:39 pm Biden Admin Offers $1.2 Billion for Distressed, Shut Nuclear Plants

Base Load. This is the most urgent issue at the moment.
Without nuclear or fossil fuels there will be no base load. Since fossil fuels are evil in the world right now, until another source of energy is discovered, nuclear is our only option. Without it the Green Transformation won't happen.
Uranium is not the only way to play this. Other possibilities:
Who is going to restore these plants?
Who is building new plants?
How are we going to get the energy distributed? Imagine how much more of an electrical grid will be necessary to accommodate replacing all of the gas and diesel powered equipment in use now, never mind expansion of the economy.
Who will build the infrastructure?
What resources do we need for that?
I know the greening of the economy pisses a lot of people off but I see opportunity. The PTBs do also. In fact, in their true brilliance, I'm sure they they initiated this movement making the people think it was their idea. I like Copper. These are the securities I'm watching or invested in.
Miners With Copper Exposure and their Rev. From Copper( %)
Antofagasta PLC 84.8
First Quantum Minerals 84.2
Southern Copper Corp 81.6
Glencore PLC 39
Freeport-McMoRan Inc 33.7
Teck Resources 27
BHP Group 26
Zijin Mining Group 22.7
Anglo American PLC 22.3
Rio Tinto PLC 11.5
Vale 5.5
For Uranium, John the Plunderer has some great picks. After all, Australia has the largest reserves in the world. This is my watchlist at the moment:
Cameco Corp
Uranium Energy Corp
Denison Mines
Laramide Resources
UR Energy Inc
BHP
Energy Fuels Inc

Agreed.
Many tend to ignore Kazatomprom for Uranium. I know why, but I think it could worth
a look. Also have some of the Plunder ones for fun, and some Sprott TSE:U.UN.
Mainly SCCO & FCX for copper. RIO (general miner, mainly iron ore) keeps chugging away
despite ESG headwinds. I've always (rightly or wrongly) liked RIO, so must be aware of
that bias.
It is also somewhat amusing to me that these mining companies digging up what's needed
for green tech have to consume so much oil whilst doing so. So let's not forget oil, which is
a significantly bigger market that all the metals combined*.
Regarding indirect ideas, something like Chargepoint might be worth investigation. I have
not researched it.
*NB: This is out of date:

balance of power has really changed, uranium producers are now more powerful than the utilities.

In the copper space to speculative plays with good potential are CPPMF and TGB. In the Iron ore section, i like VALE, and CLF. And in Gold RGLD, NG, DRD are good plays to considerharryg wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 8:35 am Agreed.

Every Fad is just as the name implies a fad created by the big players to fool the small players who dream of becoming powerful without putting in the work. In the end they are only powerful in their dreams. Reality sucks for them. Discipline and patience are needed if one wants to take on these elite players.

I just made the calculation, you have 17 lbs copper for one share. At the current share price, the copper price in copper mountain mine has a value of 10c per lbs.
Seabridge is also undervalued. 90 pounds of copper per common share

Interesting info about the grades, for a better understanding of the drill results.
Our uranium juniors are still undervalued, but with the uranium price above 100$, this situation will change in the near future.

Re: uranium sector and mines
Investors who are comfortable dealing with extreme volatility are likely to do well with uranium, especially if they focus on the very long-term trend. Your incredible performance with palladium serves as a clear example of this. However, for those who can't deal with high volatility, it's best to take some profits off the table when prices skyrocket or the crowd rushes in. When I use the term "ballistic," I'm referring to short-to-intermediate time frames, such as comparing to prices from one year ago.stefk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 2:34 pm https://www.mining.com/web/making-the-g ... n-results/

""PNX Executive Chairman Graham Ascough said: “These are fantastic results and add considerable excitement

there are a number of high-priority, near-surface targets that require further evaluation. The 2014 drill program
was limited in scope but demonstrates the potential for high-grade domains in both the upper and lower lodes at
Thunderball and the potential for new near-surface regional discoveries. The association of potentially economic
grades of platinum, palladium and gold with uranium at the Goldeneye prospect is also compelling due to its
similarity with the Coronation Hill deposit to the east.”

1000 PPM is 0,1%.
0,1 % is 1kg per ton, is very good grade.
Here we have 10%, one of the best grades in the world.!!!!!!

I am in it for the long term. I did well on metals before and Palladium looks like a no-brainer, if you are a long term investor. As for Uranium I followed TI's suggestion took profits and waiting for them to issue a new buy.

PA is on the turn. Weekly resistance (futures) at 1205. Monthly about 1400 then about 2000 and quarterly 1800 and 2800.

-- Thunderball Uranium Deposit discovered by Thundelarra
Exploration and maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE)
in 2011 (JORC 2004) [Fukushima!]
-- Limited exploration since 2011 and essentially dormant
since 2014
-- Historic drill intersections from Thunderball include very
high-grades:
15.0 m @ 1.5% U3O8 from 139.0 m in TPCRC019
11.0 m @ 3.4% U3O8 from 144.0 m in TPCDD026
15.0 m @ 1.35% U3O8 from 210.0 m in RHCDD005
-- Gap analysis by SRK Consulting in March 2024 highlights
• Disequilibrium studies show probe data ok for MRE
• Immediate targets at Thunderball
• Regional targets and exploration upside
