Short German Businesses?

Post by langdj »

Germany looks like it has some major issues.

It appears the US is willing to sacrifice Germany's economy and manufacturing ability (NordStream Pipeline and Russia embargo)

Plus their birth rate is so low that they may not be able to sustain their manufacturing rate anyway (without immigration)

I am wondering some others folks thoughts on how this event should be played in the Stock market and in life. Some thoughts:

1. Perhaps buy some American and Japanese car manufacturing stocks
2. Perhaps sell your German cars before other folks start realizing the issue (will we have parts in 2 years?) I actually have two fully paid off Volkswagons but am now considering selling them, not convicted either way yet.

Thoughts?

Funny, you mentioned this about German cars. I also have a fully paid off VW. I was also wondering if I should trade it in.

While the situation may seem complex at first glance, there is a simple solution. In this case, the answer comes down to money. Companies have been in business for decades and always seek ways to improve their bottom line. They will move to greener pastures; end of story.

Physical location is becoming increasingly irrelevant in our globalized economy. The United States is a prime example of this. Many products are designed and assembled overseas but carry an American connection through phrases like "Designed in the US" or "Assembled in the US."

In the case of Europe, access to cheap energy is the key:
Europe is going to sink unless they can get their hands on cheap energy. So far they are kissing America's Bum and the only reward for ass-kissers is well...................
When the words short term appear under any post; the same conditions listed in the Market update under the short term category apply

The end is always near; its the beginning and how you live each moment that counts the most
