MU Vs Others
HI all,
I've been a member of MU now for about 18 months. And I subscribe to one other similar service.
I buy and sell everything that MU and this other service recommends.
I thought I would share my portfolio percentages for this year so far. I know the majority of us are riding the this wave and are currently down!
MU: -7.11%
Other: -27.35%
My own buys (mainly funds): -11.12%
I just wanted to show having patience and buying at MU's recommended prices is...priceless!
MU long!

Re: MU Vs Others
Thanks for posting your results. I would have to concur, that sticking to MU's trading methodology prevented me from making some dumb mistakes. In the past when the markets pulled back I would over-allocate funds to positions i thought would do well, often to my detriment. So what I did was implement a modified version of what Sol called cannon ball strategy. I get into a position and jump out of that position. Then if the play is profitable I redeploy those funds into that position at a lower price or buy calls or use a combo of both. I have used this quite well on TQQQ, HIMX and VIPS
And I have the patience now to wait for a play to come to me as opposed to chasing them
Overall, I have become a more patient and disciplined investor and during volatile times my draw downs are significantly lower than they used to be and when the markets soar my portfolio performs 2 to 3x better.
I am now putting the SCC and SCSP strategies into play.

This is kind of an Alcoholics Anonymous for investors. Most "investors" are ignorant and ill-disciplined and driven hither and yon from one "guru" to another. Here you get a system, education, the support network to keep at it and areas to expend your expertise.outof thebox wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 10:22 am Thanks for posting your results. I was until I came across MU. I've followed many 'guru's over the years - going from one to next.
BUT...that's how I came across MU. I wasn't happy with the ones I was following so began looking...I've not looked for anyone else since.

I'm not fully disciplined...yet! I do wait for the prices/plays recomended but I need to get better at my allocations. I, sometimes, buy $x worth and sometimes, $y worth. I need to to stick with one allocation amount depending upon the risk.outof thebox wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 10:22 am And I have the patience now to wait for a play to come to me as opposed to chasing them

FWB
Principles of Investing, Way of the Ninjedi, Chapter 666:
1) First and foremost, analyze your personal relationship with money. What does the green stuff really mean to you?
Do you love Ms. Money?
Alternatively, deep inside, in the parts of yourself where you hope no one ever sees, do you hate her and view her as an immoral slut?
Do you look down on Ms. Money, and resent those who have her attention, when she seemingly ignores you?
Alternatively, do you worship Ms. Money as your Goddess, and place Her above all else?
When you lose money - in and out of the markets - how does that affect your sense of self-worth? Do you feel like a fundamentally different person when you have less money, compared to when you have more?
A healthy relationship with Ms. Money is quite important, and forms part of the core of the consistently successful, long-term investor.
One wholesome view is that Ms. Money is akin to a particularly cheerful Friend With Benefits (FWB).
You have a wonderful time with Ms. Money when she feels like "chillin' and watching Netflix" with you on occasion, but you certainly don't want to fall in love with your FWB - at some point, she will leave you, after all (if only when you leave Metaverse Earth - Ms. Money ain't going with you to the particularly fiery place for which you are destined).
Since you also enjoy spending time with her, you shouldn't judge her as an indiscriminate whore, if Ms. Money, at times, seems to prefer the company of those less deserving than yourself, and has her own set of numerous FWBs.

I was down considerably for the first 6 months, however I barely traded, whether it was a loss of motivation, I did not push it and took a break
Boy, that was just what I needed, that FED meeting cannon balled me back on track.
Now I’m swinging intraday, doing futures, selling puts. Building a small short position via puts for the 4th quarter (possible) blood bath.
One stock to look at closely is TSLA, once that cult stock falters then likely this market will also

I am scaling out of long term long positions and swing trading heavily using TQQQ, UCC, UCO, some NQ futures and lots of put and call selling.AstuteShift wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 4:37 pm I was down considerably for the first 6 months, however I barely traded, whether it was a loss of motivation, I did not push it and took a break

Congrats on getting back on track.

In response to Sol's comment on money, FREEDOM is all that matters. What goes on around you is not important. Family, Faith, other interests dominate my list.

Health and freedom yep. Money is a bonus.
However as time keeps going, the masses are getting more and more into money worshipping.
It’s getting too fashionable to be a market participant which is why a total market flush of the masses is really needed.
