He's a gr8 investor! Understands the digitalization mega-trend ... lolol.
He took a $4million loss on AMD this morning. Which is weird. Why would he dump AMD 2 days after the legislation was announced.
Current atmospheric levels of CO2 (400ppm) are much lower than 500 million years ago (3000-9000ppm).

Show room trade to make it look like he can make mistakes and does not cheat. It's all a cover-up, but most likely nothing will happen to him.

I haven't looked deeply into this story, but the superficial storyline is that the CHIPS+ Act will favour AMD's competitors while not benefitting AMD. May turn out to be true ...

Also, keep in mind that often, the publicly disclosed trades may be a front, a disguise.

For example, there are a lot of cases where a founder/CEO will publicly disclose the buying of more shares in her dying company, while simultaneously shorting her own company (since it's dying) in a secret-offshore-non-disclosed account.

So the public buys more shares of this company, thinking that, "hey, this CEO has the courage of her convictions to put more $$$ into her company, she must know something about this company that I don't, therefore, I too, being a genius, will buy more."

The company goes to hell and a handbasket, the CEO leaves, having just made a huge net profit shorting (and selling) her own company at the top ...

Hence I take the publicly disclosed "insider trading" information with a grain (pound) of NaCl.

Do you have any idea of how to create an offshore account that could trade in US securities not tied to your name?

I do not, but there are prolly some quiet WISCs on this board who know how to do so, or point to you someone who does. Maybe even Sol himself.

In other news, the Cayman Islands just became the 5th largest holder of USTs, displacing Saudi Arabia.

Big money is moving into USTs for a reason or two ...

That aside, wrt to CEOs publicly buying their own stock while really shorting it, etc. ... another avenue (besides the secret offshore account) is simply to have a friend or somebody else short the stock or sell the shares for the CEO in question.

Look up how to open a company in Nevus. You don't need anything in your name. Nevus allows you to open a company and keeps all your data personal. You can use the company to trade. If anyone comes after you, they have to put a 100K bond before they can take you to court. In that time, you can transfer the assets to another company in Nevus and start the whole process again. In other words, each time they come after you, they have to put up a 100K bond so you can literally shatter their budget by playing this game forever. You will have to check the finer details, as I remember having this conversation a few years back with an astute accountant while attending a dinner gathering with a few associates. I did some cursory investigating, and what he said appeared to check.

Now applying simple pattern recognition tools, the following pattern emerges:

You can open a company In friendly jurisdiction A (for example, Seychelles), but have all its assets controlled by the company in Nevus. So even though Company A makes money, if anyone sues you, they will get nothing as Company B owns everything.

Some random info, but we are not endorsing the companies that might try to sell you some crap

Nevis LLC Offers Outstanding Privacy

The government does not post the names of the members or managers of a Nevis LLC in the public records. This provides for significant privacy.

Nevis has strong privacy laws to prevent the registration, filing or disclosure of directors, shareholders of a Nevis Corporation or members or managers of a Nevis LLC. Therefore, there are not any initial or annual director filings in Nevis. Thus, the identity of the owners and managers are not attainable by any outside agency. Naturally, this is short of serious criminal activity such as drug-related issues and terrorism. Therefore Nevis limited liability companies offer greater privacy than those of any country in the world.

You may locate your company records in any location on the globe.

List of Nevis LLC Benefits
Laws in Nevis stated that a creditor must post a $100,000 bond to enforce a judgment against one’s interest in a Nevis LLC. That is, it stated that a creditor must do so before filing legal documents. As of 2019, the Nevis High Court can require a bond for any amount, including well over $100,000.
The statute of limitations for fraudulent transfer is only two years. For example, today you transfer assets into a Nevis LLC. Two years later, if someone challenges that transfer and attempts the seize the assets the courts will decline hearing the case.
A creditor needs to show beyond a reasonable doubt that the member transferred assets to the company in order to delay creditors.
Asset protection preventing a creditor from seizing the company or the assets inside is available to single-member as well as multi-member LLCs.
Any charging orders against a member’s interest in the company fall away after three years and are not renewable.
A manager can have 100% control of the company.
The manager of the LLC does not need to have any ownership. However, the manager can control the entire company and all of its assets.
The company can have as many members as one desires.
Any person or company can own the entity.
Nevis does not impose corporate tax, income tax, withholding tax, stamp tax, asset tax, exchange controls or other fees or taxes on assets or income originating outside of Nevis.
Members of LLCs may be individuals or business entities of any nationality or domicile.
LLC members may amend their Articles of Organization. They can merge, or consolidate with other domestic or foreign LLCs or other business entities.
Members of the offshore company may assign their interests to other parties unless restricted otherwise. Nevis permits single member LLCs.
Management of the companies may be by the members or by managers designated by the members.
There are no stock limitations and can issue preferred interests analogous to preferred stock of corporations.
It is an excellent vehicle if used by a group of investors for a joint venture investment. In this respect it functions as if it was a Limited Partnership, but with all the added liability protection features and advantages of a corporation.
We can set it up within 24 hours for a low initial cost and low annual fees.

both INTC and AMD really took a hit today. I'm heavy in both so I guess I'll have to ride them thru the downturn. I came this close to buying my AMD put yesterday and taking a small profit. ah well

The market is very Volatile at the moment, there have to be some losers but we're seeing more winners. I wouldn't be surprised if within next 1-2 weeks both jump 10% and the rest of market is down 2-3%.

I hear ya. I have been doing the same thing with all of my options for the past 2 weeks.

I am holding all of my stocks during any short term downturn.
I hope to buy more before Thrust Stage,
then when it is time to get out, I will get all out, and start doing Options again.

Should we be using the sell prices in the update, or wait until we think the rally is nearing its end?

You can disregard that question. I just saw the August 2 Update in my email.
I see you gave exit targets.
Since you referenced the July 24th Update in the August 2 Update, I became aware that I missed that one. Yahoo keeps locking me out of my email.

I also found out today Twitter permanently suspended me.
Funny thing is, I have not been on Twitter since Trump got banned.

Don't feel so bad, when Twitter was still somewhat okay. We took our account from 50 subscribers to over 200K, and we would get 1 million plus impressions a day from them. In twitter's eyes, we were getting too much free coverage, for months, they kept pumping some premium crap services on us when we refused mysteriously our account was suspended, and no reason was given. In terms of ROI, Twitter is full of crap because the conversion rate from 1 million plus impressions per day was less than 0,0001 and this was several years ago. Had they not suspended us we would have probably had north of one million followers today but again it's no big deal as in terms of ROI it's a total waste of money. We did not spend on advertising, but the effort was put into writing more articles, posting on twitter, responding to tweets, etc, etc.
