I agree. That's impressive. What's going to make your day is when they realise what you've done for them, and they come back and thank you.Yodean wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 2:19 pmI am quite surprised you survived the experience, and have time to pee, much less trade options and Wheel.LoriPrecisely wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 3:12 am I homeschooled all four of my children from beginning to end.

Interesting discussion here!
Our foster lad of 15 hates school, we cannot choose to homeschool, however, he was off for a few weeks recently as he has a bad hip injury. He was not being given any schoolwork to do at home and was getting bored so I spoke to him about doing projects which he thought was a good idea. He designed a simple website from purchasing the domain name to creating the website using template software, we bought a petrol lawnmower and stripped it down and then watched YouTube videos on how engines, carburettors etc. work, then he baked a cake for his nan as well as other little projects. He really enjoyed it, could tell it gave him confidence and he said he's learnt far more than all his schooling (perhaps an exaggeration but you understand the point) and he'll have a few more skills for work at 18.

Re: Alternative news sources and Interesting articles to examine
Being a product of the public school system, I did the least amount of work as a child and learned early to study on my own.
One example was learning history, I knew more about history than most teachers, another was science and computers since I would build my own.
My first trade was based on my computer knowledge, AMD and Nvidia which paid off handsomely. I still read computer enthusiast articles on the tech since wallstreet is beyond clueless about tech
I also study the work culture, the employees, the group dynamic of the companies. Human behavior is a very important element behind a company along with management. It’s essentially MP.

Not everyone will have the same priorities though and will rely more on investment services to focus more on other priorities, kind of why people purchase the service!

Re: Alternative news sources and Interesting articles to examine
That may be true, but my personal philosophy has always been that one should never completely trust advice - from any source - when it comes to three areas of life on Metaverse Earth:
1) health;
2) relationships, particularly when deciding with whom to cohabitate (or to stay single);
3) money;
In those three important sectors, it is very important to learn to make decisions on one's own. Absorb what is useful, discard what is not, and add what is uniquely yours. Consider the rationale and advice of those who are really good at what they do, but never follow blindly.
Oh wait ... I forgot #4:
4) everything else that's even slightly important to one's life;
Buy Fear, Sell Euphoria. The Neonatal Calf undergoes an agonizing birthing, while the Bear falls into hibernation.

That's good Yodean, I agree, just trying to suggest an area of improvement to an already great service but I will take on board your point.Yodean wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 8:49 pmThat may be true, but my personal philosophy has always been that one should never completely trust advice - from any source - when it comes to three areas of life on Metaverse Earth:

It was definitely a huge investment of my time and energy to keep my children home with me. I would do it all over again. And, I hope they will do the same for their children.
Three of my kids are out on their own now making their own families.
I just have one left at home.
Thanks, Yodean

AMD and Nvidia are still good stocks to own.

Too bad you can't do that for the rest of his 'school years'.
We all learn better doing something we are interested in.
It is difficult to learn something one is not interested in,
so hopefully he can find something in his public school that interests him.
I think of public schools as public 'institutions', not good places to be.
Nowadays, they seem to be nothing more than propaganda machines.
I heard the Lt. Governor of our state give a speech regarding public school
funding and how it would be used for "programming" our children. OOPS!!

Re: Perpetual War
Lori, yes, that is quite a feat, but as they say, if it were easy, everyone would be doing it and then there would be nothing left to gain. I will talk more about an experiment I have been involved in for close to 13 years (an ethical one that is) that entails homeschooling, no smartphones until at least the age of 16), and no forced studying of topics the kids are not interested in, eating well, living in a the right environment, etc. I discussed it in random posts here and there, but long story short, the success rate so far is 100%.LoriPrecisely wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 12:31 amOh, I could not do trading and have little ones running around!!Yodean wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 2:19 pmI am quite surprised you survived the experience, and have time to pee, much less trade options and Wheel.LoriPrecisely wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 3:12 am I homeschooled all four of my children from beginning to end.

I suspect your last kid takes after you or will take after you. Talk to him about SCCing and SCSPing while making him read Aesop's fables and see how he responds. If he responds well, have him read the articles and watch the videos posted under the MP section; this is located in the pass-coded part of our website.

Indeed, television is called "TV Programming" for a reason. Most of the time, useful truths lie in plain sight, but our filters (beliefs, etc.) prevent us from seeing them.LoriPrecisely wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 12:46 am how it would be used for "programming" our children. OOPS!!

Impaler's got about 20% of Ukraine effectively under Russian military control. Fairly close to landlocking Kiev's territorial influence from the Black Sea once Russian dominance over the southern strip including Odesa has been firmly established.
Zelensky has accumulated > 850 million USD in offshore accounts - he is almost ready to officially agree to some terms of Ukraine's surrender (will be called something else by the Western mainstream media) in the months ahead. This could coincide with an interim top in the equity markets.
Unfortunate many Ukrainian and Russian lives were lost or otherwise ruined by these shenaningans, but the Game of Thrones spares no one who is forced to play.
