Merci budge.

I found this quite interesting long-term S&P annotated one (goes to April 24th)

Have to say, that is a pretty reassuring chart. It hurts my eyes a bit, but nonetheless impressive ...

Our front yard goes to the Kashinka river, babushki like to sit under the apple tree there. Rather than go for long walks I go kayak, the energy of water is envigorating. I don't take my cat(s) though!

Very beautiful reminds me of the many nice parks I used to go to in Ukraine. How big is your land, again the landscape and view are just amazing? I have been looking at Vladimir Oblast, the actual city is quite lovely and quaint. It's not too big and not too small and also not too far from Moscow by high-speed train if one needs some action. What's your take on this place?

I went fishing last Friday as I didn't have any pressing work on. It was 31c that day here in the UK so a friend and I got to the river at 5am, caught a couple of small fish each, left at 7am and had cooked breakfast at a local cafe, luvly jubbly! It was lovely being by the water so I totally relate Scott, and catching fish is a bonus!

You should also take your shoes off and plant your bare feet on the grass or in the river. Then you can get your "earthing" or "grounding" in. Also, take some deep breaths when surrounded by nature ... you'll be engaging in "shinrin-yoku," otherwise known as "forest bathing."

Very easy, good for mental and physical health on a variety of fronts. Surprisingly decent scientific evidence on their efficacy, if one digs deep enough.

Kayaking is great - I've had some of my best conversations with my spouse when we kayak together. Doesn't work the legs, though, as a stand-alone workout.

As a quasi-electrician understand "grounding"; better yet can feel it. River in the front yard, 'nuff grass in the back (pic attached) for grounding. Took to heart Astute's "I am here" thought during shinrin-yoku, though I didn't know what it's called. Understand your spine is important in the earthing, analogous to an antenna. Seems my spine is round-about there while kayaking, no slouching allowed.

Proud (ego) of our backyard. Some have said like a little piece of America. I have the only lawnmower I've seen in Kashin, except for stores. Most use a string trimmer or the scythe, and, its all green, cut it all down.

Your garden looks like a lovely haven of peace. I know how much work it represents to create and maintain.

I took our previous dog kayaking* and I might post a pic of that if I can find it.

(*I'm talking about the wider boat that you can float down the river in, not canoeing where you go down rapids like a wally. I've done that too, but not with a dog on board).

Don't know much about Vladimir. Has a bunch of rivers, so waterfront property should be available. It would be cheaper to buy an old house with utilities and tear it down than buy a lot and get utilities.

Asked about it on an expat forum, only three responses so far.

For those who stay solvent through the current corrective action in the markets, you'll have a nice story to tell the grandchildren, or at least the A.I. ones.

We replaced our babushka bench under the apple tree with a swing. Now they can gum their solenuyu rybu there. Not too fond of the red plastic roof (common here for bisetki and the like), but conceded because it is well known that Benny Hill's Hell's Grannies, would cower before any three Russki Babushki with umbrellas. Good place to say "I am here", uni in the universe.
