ibmi 2023 call blowing its guts out today

buy more of ibm1 23 call or further out? or forget it

On further investigation it appears to be just this call option as my actual stock holding was only down a couple of dollars. My brokerage account now shows me that it is at -22% where as 2 days ago it was at + 170% or so - has the same thing happened to U who hold the same call but plain IBM?

IBM has hit its sell range for 1/2 of the Jan 2023 170 Call since it went above 144. However, I still hold a call on IBM1 Jan 2023 170 Call which was created some time ago due to some corporate action. Are we to sell those as well once we hit above 144? Thanks!

@extra123: my conclusion to date is that this one is a dog - i thought i was smart chosing this one over the other in that it was at least suppose to retain an interest in the business that was spun out (maybe that is part of the problem if that business fell apart?). Little did i know i would have to phone into my online broker to sell it and my broker at least here in Canada and only allows a day order. As i saw the newer call selling as hi as $2.73 today i for the halibut put order to sell over phone @ 2.50 to no success. My conclusion is because of the awkwad way of trading or the business interest retained or both the demand is slim - unless ur online broker does it otherwise?. For now i will wait in the weeds and when the markets can put several updays together (at least a couple of healthy ups) i will not bother going thru the nuisance procedure.
