Blessed are the Meek

Post by harryg »

Blessed are the cheese-makers!

What's so special about the cheese-makers?

Well, it's not meant to be taken literally - it refers to any manufacturers of dairy products.

Stalin, Kruschev, and Brezhnev are riding a train when it suddenly grinds to a halt.
Stalin says, "I know what to do. We shoot the conductor, the ticket collector, and ten passengers at random. Then the train will run again."

"No, I have a better idea," says Kruchev. "We tell everyone on the train that true communism is just around the corner! Then the train will run again."

"Tovarishi, you're trying too hard," Brezhnev cuts in. "We simply close the curtains, lean back and have a vodka, and *pretend* the train is running!"

I am ashamed to state I did not know of this brilliant chap until you presented him today, but what a delight I watched it from start to finish, which is a rarity and almost choked on my new drink which is called coffee vodka

Glad you enjoyed it. I don't usually post long stuff, but ol' Pete's not a one-liner merchant.

Coffee vodka? Not tried it.. YET ;) Of all the flavours I've sampled so far I only really like Absolut Mandrin & Stolichnaya Lime. I tried a pepper one and a chilli one once which I thought would be fun but they weren't. A bit like Rachel's trifle, I enjoy the components but not at the same time:

So my vodka-diet-cola isn't as weird as some make it out to be.

Red Bull + vodka = pressing brake and gas pedals simultaneously, but somewhat fun, nonetheless. Should see how your shooting accuracy is on that combo, if you haven't already.

My favourite Ustinov one liner was when he entered Australia and was asked by the immigration officer if he had a criminal record. "I didn't know it was still required."

Tell that one to any Aussie you meet.

My dad has a Jägermeister machine in his basement so I haven't had vodka-red bull but have had hundreds of Jäger-bombs.

Depending on what crowd I'm with typically guns get put away before alcohol is opened (at the fun club...correct autocorrection of gun club); but I have a rule (on private property) that guns get put away as soon as the first person cracks their second beer.
