These videos provide some interesting insights. I feel the God principle is too simple, but I always respect dissenting opinions. Perceptions are very powerful, and imagine a perception that is holographic in nature. What is reality and what is not? Interesting concepts. I believe that we decide our reality. The first video is a nice primer, and Susskind is one of the most humble and jovial physicists I have ever listened to

I read the Holographic universe, a good read and a lot of truth in it, don't think I found a lot that is incompatible with their being a God, just one possible way that God has created our default reality.

If we created our own reality then looking around the world we've created a pretty crap one, alright for now if you're sitting comfortably in some western setting with your relative wealth.

To me the embracing of such concepts is a denial of the reality that on our own we haven't evolved much above maggot status, grab yourself a coffee and open your eyes, this world (reality) is a complete mess and going down the toilet!

LoriPrecisely - the simple and honest answer to what you state should result in the acceptance of intelligent design but deniers of truth create complex answers because they cannot accept the outworking of the truth and it's implications!
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

The Ideal

I think Young Yoda (YY) is being a bit of an intellectual troll here, and having some fun. A la Gurdjieff.

One possible perspective is that whatever God is to you in Her specifics, represents a composite projection of what your Ideal is.

So you project outwards what you think the best possible Ideal is to you, and then you proceed to worship that Ideal, and try to emulate Her. As you may have noticed, as one ages and accumulates life experience, the specifics of one's God changes a bit, if one were being really honest with oneself.

One way of interpreting YY's statement is that he has internalized this Ideal - instead of projecting it outwards - and is actively trying to actualize Its manifestation here on Metaverse Earth, in the time he has left.

I see no true, fundamental difference in either approach. If it works and makes one happy, do it.

Personally, I prefer the process of subtraction, which YY himself has mentioned eons ago. You continually see through (self-observation) all projections, whether internal or external, for what they are - illusions - and rest as that which remains, which cannot be conveyed in language. Only experienced. Then more cutting through the projections, etc.

"If you see the Buddha on the roadside, kill the Buddha." This is simply an injunction to see through or destroy your projections. If you see the Buddha (or Jesus, or Allah, or Zeus, or NinjaGod), cut the projection into ribbons with your mental/spiritual Sword of Awakening.

Sol, the avatar looks excellent, I'm already feeling more Holy!

Yodean and AstuteShift, a bit of teasing/humour/fun is cool by me! Don't mind mixing a bit of semi serious debate with fun!

Funny how we got from sleep issues to discussing God!

Well, as Harry stated not too long ago, there are too many ninjas here. Something that might help create a bit of friction might be necessary. Friction is good, provided one does not let it consume one; it provides room for alternative lines of thinking.

Tactical Investors have a way of mixing everything up lol

Yep, the original, David Carradine Kung Flu series is one of my favourite TV series of all time.

I second that, I can watch that series for hours just for the smart dialogue, the action is a bonus
