Had one sell alert re half on Kelloggs @73 so sold at $72.73.
I sold at about the same price, however I managed to not update my logs properly and sold the entire order. Would you guys repurchase the half that was sold, say if it dips back down to 71 range?

Next support level is 20.71. I see a lot of downside momentum here still. Just my thoughts.

There is a fair degree of panic in the markets currently. A lot of really good companies are being sold off, along with crappy ones.

Many babies are being thrown into the dumpster along with the used bathwater.

One may want to consider standing aside and letting the dust settle a bit, unless one has strong conviction in a particular trade(s). In these choppy, volatile markets, there will be plenty of opportunities to buy and sell.

Risk tolerance - prolly should be called "loss tolerance" - should be taken into account.

As always, NFA.

In general when the markets are in a volatile phase, low to medium risk investors should ease back on stocks that are rated as higher risk plays.

Interesting that the narrative has been to move away from petroleum for quite some time now, 'green new deal' and all, but the petroleum stocks have been steadily rising all year.

And people like Buffett get a heads-up as well as Bill gates who conveniently bought massive amounts of farmlands years in advance. He is now the single largest holder of US farmland

The true narrative was never about the green deal the real green deal is to take greenbacks away from the middle class and give 90% to the elite while throwing 10% to the poor to make it look like they are being helped.

I get the feeling that all the cool kids are playing with SCC and SPTO. You're getting old - time for you to lose your SCC virginity ... what are you saving it for? I vaguely remember you mentioned you SPTO'd a bit previously.

It's almost time. I have picked up some bargains this week (INTC, AMD, NVDA) but I'm glad I resisted buying TQQQ and some of the other option plays I've seen here. I learn fast when I lose money. How are those Russian plays working out? Grin. Finally closed on purchase of that warehouse in North Carolina at 1.5 Million and it just appraised for 2.3 Million. But...still have to invest $300K in repairs and don't have renters yet. Time will tell if I was crazy buying at top of real estate market like this.
Current atmospheric levels of CO2 (400ppm) are much lower than 500 million years ago (3000-9000ppm).

Process and mindset are just as important as short-term results to me. Learning more, improving, becoming better, whether it's in the investing realm, or lifting big kettlebells and eating lots of pho - it's all the same to me. Enjoy the process of getting better, win or lose.

My Russian assets are frozen atm - I am okay with that, as I don't need that money - there's a very good chance that when they become unfrozen, they will be trading a lot higher. Most importantly, I am happy with my decision-making at the time the trades were made. I bought 4 lots, so it wasn't like I bet the farm on the Motherland or anything. The asymmetry is there, something I always look for in my trades.

Congrats on the real estate. Long-term, it'll probably work out, but short-term ... hard to tell.

Oui, we can only be true to ourselves at the time of the trade. If the rationale was good, so was the trade.

Even if it subsequently turns out to be crap :(

I've been on a SCC (Selling Covered Calls) frenzy the last several weeks. The following video is a pretty good addition to ExcelNinja's growing video library on options:

I did my 1st Sell to Own Put option. Got in Affirm the other day at $18 Put for $1.5 to open expiring 5/13? Idk if I'm wording this clearly, please let me know how it should be said so I'm clearer in the future. Anyway currently its trading at just about $16.5. I'm assuming come Friday I will own the stock if its below 16.5? What if its not do I still own the stock but at $16.5?

From one OptionsNoob to another: you may or not get assigned the shares. After expiry, if the price is below your strike and you don't get assigned the shares, you just keep the premium you made previously.

Congrats on losing your SCSP (Sell Cash-Secured Puts) virginity!
