And dont forget the french paradox, but it only works with red wine (the blood of Christ), it contains polyphenols and resveratrol, but maximum three glasses per day, and the three not at the same time in the day.

Never argue with the French about wine

We were told that high tannin wines such as Madiran were good (SW France).

Indeed, Jordan Peterson went from being an atheist to being ... Broken.

He went from being arogant to having a heart and that enabled him to discover God in his own way, don't mistake emotions for weakness, having a hard heart is one way of going in to denial about the existence of God! Unlike Sols data analysis it's the only sensible and rational explanation for what we observe of the universe and ourselves.
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

Portuguese wines are good, and Porto the desert kind of wine is also not bad. My grandfather had one to two shots of whisky, he said it kept the pipes clean as in the arteries etc. It looks like it worked. On festive days he had a lot more to drink

Southern Portugal produces stunningly great wine at low cost.

Another place most are unfamiliar with is Dalat (Vietnam), sometimes known as the Switzerland of Asia; they produce very good wines. For roughly a dollar, I purchased bottles (500ML) of red and white.
Wine from Georgia the country is also pretty good and the prices used to be great. We can ask Nicolas for an update

Re: Slow Supertrend of Change and Chaos
Wines are still pretty good

Prices have indeed been increasing.
A good bottle will typically be in the 10-20₾ range in stores (at the current FX rate $3.7-7.4)
I used to find a decent dry white wine for 4-6₾ (about $1.6 at the time) when on a discount at Carrefour, now it's rarely below 10₾ ($3.7).
(Note: the Lari has been really strong this year, appreciating 12% against what most would call a "strong dollar." The best explanation I have for that is the huge inflows of cash, mainly from Russia.)
Some really good wines I like are sold for around 45₾ ($16.5)
There are of course more expensive options, but I'll leave that to the ballerz.

I went many times in southern Portugal for 35 years, Alentejo, the planicie dourada, I made twice the road of the wine in Alentejo, and the place to be for the wine is Borba. A village in northern Alentejo, you find there the cooperativa. Very good memeries in Borba.

Before the wine Pastel de nata and before the Pastel de nata, Polvo à Lagareiro are great ways to start the evening or afternoon.stefk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 8:10 amI went many times in southern Portugal for 35 years, Alentejo, the planicie dourada, I made twice the road of the wine in Alentejo, and the place to be for the wine is Borba. My Journey with Georgian wine began many moons ago when I was invited by some friends to a cookout and the main course was Mtsvad or as the Russians call it Shashlik and some Khvanchkara. And Adjika both green and red were too die for.nicolas wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 7:02 amWines are still pretty good
