Interesting adaptation of a timeless classic. Found the lyrics strangely compelling.

Adds further credence - perhaps even divine confirmation - that the JBS has indeed been triggered, in late October.

Suspect the JesusNinja on this board will like this rendition.

It seems like it is not too hard to find Christian cringe worthy media. One thing my wife and I have been enjoying is The Chosen https://watch.angelstudios.com/thechosen. Even if you don't believe the story of Jesus it is really quite good.

Lol, we watch The Chosen although you have to be aware they are using a massive amount of poetic license in their interpretation of the Bible and lots of imagination when it comes to the disciples and their stories. One scene that I thought was particularly bad was Jesus preparing his sermon on the mount speech, writing it down and going over it with Matthew, as if the son of God would not have been able to do it off the cuff. There are lots of strange scenes like that but it still contains poignant messages.

The Bible, to me, contains mildly interesting stories with hidden messages.

It's like one of those Escape Rooms - it's up to each individual to figure out what those divine messages are.

A minor example: in all the various versions of the Bible of which I am aware, Jesus upended the tables of the moneychangers in dramatic fashion.

Approximately 3.33 days later, the Dude was stapled painfully to a cross.

What does this mean? Banksters always win, in the long-term. Buy banks. Now's a good time to accumulate. Don't fight the Fed.

I view Christ and the Adversary as core psychological archetypes that exist in every individual.

If one stares into a mirror long enough, both will appear.

I gotta admit, that's an interesting observation. Can't disagree the banksters will do anything to ensure their survival.

Lol, you're consistent I'll give you that!

See if you can find that banker in the following story, and it's message:

The Rich Man and Lazarus
19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Comforting propaganda. Not evidence-based.

'Sides, nowhere does it mention that the "Rich Man" was a banker. There are rich bankers, average bankers, and poor bankers.

Heaven and Hell, Christ and the Adversary, Darkness and Light, Yin and Yang, all these psychological polarities exist in each of us.

Only Ms. Death - or if one prefers, Impermanence - reigns supreme, above all, Everpresent.

Besides existing for the purpose of large scale social control, mainstream religions offer a bit of hopium for those who have not fully embraced the terrifying certainty - the One "sure thing" - that one day, at a time and place not of their choosing, they will lose everything and everyone they love.

Nope we don't know if he was a banker, but you read it which is now imprinted on your brain!

We'll agree to disagree on the rest!

Everyone should watch some of the YT videos of people coming back from death, called NDE- Near Death Experience. Very intriguing. I just watched a neurosurgeon, Eben Alexander, tell his story. Since he was familiar with how the brain works, he knew his memories were not naturally, physically possible because of the damage to his brain from the infection he had. But, yet he has vivid memories of his experience.

For the aficionados of sabaton.

"RESIST AND BITE" ( résiste et mords), the motto of the chasseurs ardennais. For the little story, I made my service by the chasseurs ardennais, at this time, it was still an ethnic unit, I am ardennais from my mother.
