For the little story, in 2004 I bought a lot of physical palladium. In this time, I didnt find any sellers here in Belgium, but I found a little bank in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The price of palladium was around 200$. And I remember the banker proposed me to buy physical rhodium, and I refused, I found it was too expensive, yes it costed $600 !!!!!!!!!!
And two years ago, I went in a bank in brusselistan to buy physical silver, and I was surprised they also sold physical rhodium. The price was around $5000, and I hesitated to buy it, but finally I found it was too expensive and I didnt buy it !!!!!!!!!!!

If the price of rhodium could retrace more, I will finally make the step and buy rhodium.

In the bank, they always have a buy price and a sell price. But if they make me problems in brusselistan, I will go immediately in Antwerp, in the jewish neighbourhood. Its the diamond world center, and there we can always find a solution, to buy or sell anything.......

FWIW just looked at PALL, IMPUY, IVPAF and SBSW. Own Sibanye and have owned all the others. Ivanhoe looks best of the bunch.Yodean wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 10:19 pmThanks! In other news, Rothschild descendant Zuckerberg's stuff taking a bloody beating of beatings in afterhours trading ... glad I sold some Skynet today, will need it to finance the acquisition of a big lot of FBIbook tomorrow ...
Update: forgot to add Impala and Sibanye have very good dividends around 10%.

palladium vs. platinum
Thanks for the info. For the time being, I am going to stick with PALL. A price of 211 for PALL equates roughly to the TIT's entry level of 2220 for palladium. Been adding to the PALL position a tad.
Btw, any thoughts on platinum vs. palladium? I'm somewhat bullish on both, but to my eyes at least, platinum is the slightly better buy atm.
I understand a bit of their uses industrially, as well as how one may substitute for the other, and also that Russia is the top producer of palladium ... but it would seem to me the price of platinum is more likely to approach that of palladium, than anything else.

The monthly chart of Platinum

Based on the monthly chart Palladium offers a much better risk to reward profile than platnium. However feel free to observe your own pattern from this chart or one of yours

I agree with Sol, palladium looks better bet. Just looked at futures and platinum look like a 20% upside while palladium is 30%. Not a shabby prospect owning both.Yodean wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 5:23 pmThanks for the info. For the time being, I am going to stick with PALL. However, looking at Platinum Group, PLG, I reckon a potential upside about 66%.

An interesting company but it falls under the jewellery category is ELA, It is trading in the oversold ranges on the monthly charts. When the MACD's experience a bullish crossover historically it has trended higherBudge wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 7:05 pmI agree with Sol, palladium looks better bet. Re: MU, Chinese New Year Edition, Feb. 1st, '22;
excellent discusion above on Feb 1 edition - 2 unrelated questions:
Opinions on buying 3rd level of afrm now that it is at the $45 range much lower than was on this MU - a continous falling knife or a contender for a rebound? - on mktwatch i saw articles going both ways. (i was also wondering why it is listed as an ETF as does not appear to be such?)
To U option players since Sol has a call for a big plunge near end of third quarter does it make any sense to buy option calls out longer than say mid September? or to be safer mid August?

SOL stated a while ago and I believe it is still stated under the Main ETF portfolio that the service will start including stocks with large market caps. I did not get into AFRM as it was labelled red. When I take part in ETFs in the main portfolio i stick with plays labelled in green. I take risks with leveraged Index ETF's like TQQQ when the time is right. Usually when the markets are trading in the extremely oversold ranges on the weekly charts
As for longer term options it comes down to time premium. The decay on shorter-term options can be quite brutal. I think Astute mentioned this several times.

A lot of the metals were looking interesting a while back, I hesitated with aluminium and it's gone on a great run, Nickel too, copper looking like it could break out soon, iron ore starting a nice run. I bought Lumber at near it's recent correction bottom and sold right at the top on Friday for a nice profit, might go back into this one when the markets bottom.
