In his annual letter to shareholders, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon suggested that the U.S. government and climate conscious corporations may have to seize citizen’s private property to enact climate initiatives while there still time to stave off climate disasters.

Dimon declared Tuesday that "governments, businesses and non-governmental organizations" may need to invoke "eminent domain" in order to get the "adequate investments fast enough for grid, solar, wind and pipeline initiatives."
That's certainly the only way they will get me.

This is an excerpt from the "Energy Efficiency Report" mandated when you sell a house in the UK. They give a letter from A to G and then in the notes lots of handy tips on how to improve your rating.

I make that a payback period of 142-214 years even by their calculations.

If by installing one system I can save £28/year, then by installing 2 systems I could save £56 :)

Hateful anti-UK propaganda. Today the sun shone at 11:45 am for at least 2 minutes. And apparently there could be some sunshine next Wednesday.

If global warming kicks off nicely I could be on £35/year before you know it.

Have to admit the sun does occasionally shine. The Mrs. had to work in the UK 1995-1997. As we flew into a miserable rainy Gatwick in mid-June, less than pleased was I. It didn't rain again until the second week in September. One of the hottest summers on record. The locals were in a bad way but us being fresh from Plano, Tx, the weather seemed quite balmy. I think we used up at least a couple decades worth of your sunshine. Always felt a bit bad about that. (Not really.)

This global warming hystery and madness is a powerful trend. I know a guy who has created a startup, his job is to capture the atmospheric CO2, with plant biomass "nature based solutions". He monetizes the CO2 sequestration with Carbon Offsets, ITMOs, ERPAs, etc. They will begin to produce industrial starch with an industrial patrner. Its a french startup based in Africa. And they will begin to create hundreds new jobs for the locals.

Ils crazy, but its working, and I think this guy really believes in this madness, and he will make tons of money.

yep, this is a big mega-trend that will persist for a few decades, at least.

i've been keeping an eye on the carbon offset stuff - i think for me, a bit too early to get involved in terms of investing, but i am playing the trend by holding URNM.

Nuclear energy will play a significant role for the Greenies, whether they like it or not.

It's complete and utter hysterical nonsense from top to bottom. But it's a strong force and looks as if it is here to stay.

I watched a video that Yodean(?) posted a while ago about a company changing light bulbs for LEDs in Africa. To simplify, they overcharge someone like BP for the LEDs and BP becomes more ecofriendly. So they say "I sincerely apologise for digging up all this oil, which is bad" (not that bad since the entire world economy runs on it), "but look, I've got 5,000 offset credits". And that is deemed to be not only OK, but laudable, despite the fact that it's transparently absurd.

I fully expect to be personally further taxed for anything which is deemed to be contrary to this thinking.

Accessing the Market Update Spreadsheet.

1. Find the most recent email on Market Update
2. Find the link to the forum and its secret password from the newsletter
3. Open the secret forum. Go to the last page and the last posting on that forum
4. Find the precious spreadsheet and its own secret password.
5. Now open the complicated spreadsheet.
6. If you want to understand how to use the spreadsheet, find another spreadsheet.
7. Get its secret password and open it.
8. Now try to map & apply the instructions to the fills spreadsheet.

Thrilling! It felt like Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible. I broke the world's most secret vault and saved the world! :)

Lol, my wife just sent me that clip a few days ago on WhatsApp. Came across on her feed too.

Good video.
