This is probably just me but has anyone else notice that October 18th is the day for something to fall apart?
-My neighbor, who is a nurse, said that if she is not fully vaccinated by Oct. 18th she will be fired.
-Washington State Gov. Jay Inslee issued an emergency proclamation mandating that most state employees must be fully vaccinated by October 18.
-I just read that Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that Congress must raise the debt limit by Oct. 18 or we are in big trouble.
It is kind of amusing. Probably just a coincidence but wondered if anyone else noticed a coordinated "end of the world" prediction on this date?

More importantly, October 18th marks the end of the current Mercury Retrograde period, which started roughly yesterday. A time of confusion, small accidents, mistakes, and return of stuff from the past. Generally a terrible time to trade, unless your investments have a connection to your past.
I suspect the markets will mount a strong rally shortly after October 18th, when the Retrograde period ends.
