If COVID ever disappears from the world, would it likely be a father/mother of all buying opportunities?
And which industries would be the best?
Mr. X.:
I don't think cv19 is "going away" ever . . . there might be less of an emphasis on cv19 in the mainstream media in the future, but it's always going to be kind of "around," would be my best guess, for the next several years, at the very least.
It's making Big Pharma and related industries a sh*tload of $$$, and now that governments know the general population is willing to let themselves be "lockdowned" without much of a whimper, if there is civil unrest or rebellious factions acting up, they may easily be dealt with simply by once again imposing cv19 restrictions, etc.
From an investment perspective, the right pharma. companies, biotech. companies, cv19 testing companies, etc. are probably going to do really well. There will be cries for more booster vaccine shots to deal with a litany of upcoming variants (i.e. delta, lambda, gamma, omega, maga, ninja, etc.) as well as some contrived treatments for "long cv19," etc.
I am sure T.I. has been looking at them and will continue to make good recommendations.
Besides the much-discussed A.I. supertrend, asset price inflation mega-trend, and the biotech/pharma. trends, another biggie will be the climate change supertrend, as well as the cybersecurity and surveillance trends.
In terms of investing, the cybersecurity-surveillance trends are kind of related to the A.I. trend. The big climate change trend will involve many industries over time but one area to keep an eye on is the "Carbon Credit/Tax" trend and the companies that issue these credits, as well as measure carbon footprints, etc. I am pretty sure the T.I. team is already keeping an eye on this.
The U.S. looks destined to be the "King of the Hill" for at least another ten to fifteen years, but as you probably know from living in Singapore, I believe, China and other parts of Asia are rising quickly, so geographically probably not a bad area to start to look into investing. I am probably a bit (or a lot) early, but I've been buying a lot of the Chinese Tech. Titans (CTTs) lately - they seem pretty cheap, could get cheaper.
