The "brabanter" or belgian draft horse is bigger than the "ardennais", is the horse of the flemish part, suitable for the labor in the flemish plains, but too big to work in the woods.

Yes, but the humans, we see them everyday, they are fantastic but its always the same animal we see everyday, so its a bit boring.

I remember, when i was kid, there were a lot of belgian draft horses in the fields. Everyday I saw an old lonely farmer working with his horse in the fiels next to my house. Now, all the farmers work with tractors, its sad....

For the little story, Julius Cesar, already admired in Gallia Belgica, the strength and the tireless character of these animals.

We have a new mate in our family. My son came this week with this puppy (my wife is growling, but for me its OK). His name is Django, his father is belgian malinois and his mother is japanese akita, an accidental birth. But he has a big potential, he has a good prey drive, a very good tug drive, and when I throw a stick he already retrieves it, and all this at only three months. We will make dogsport with him, jumps and obediance.

Yes I agree, a great breed mix, an AKINOIS. And do you know what, my son got him for 0 euro !!!, nobody wanted him, because he is mixed. A pureblood malinois costs 2000 euros. And I feel that he will be less crazy than a pure malinois.
